Big factions are factions that have or have had a great deal of artwork or presence on the canvas. These are some of the all time most influential or powerful factions. Factions that display a large amount of influence on the canvas are considered a "big faction."
Faction List
2ch
2ch (or Двач) is a faction that originates from the Russian website 2ch. They mostly made art themed around their website and its mascots (Like Yoba) or anime girl artworks. They gained a massive amount of members and help through their advertising on 2ch.
The Chromatic Empire
The Chromatic Empire is a mega-faction that brought together The Purple Empire, Orange Gang, The Navy Blue Grand Monarchy, Green Gang, and The Teal Kingdom. It achieved the feat of being the faction with the most all time pixels placed.
Gura's Supermarket
Gura's Supermarket (Sometimes abbreviated to GSm) is a faction that gets its name from the VTuber Gawr Gura. It makes a variety of art including anime, games, pop culture characters, and other cute pixel art. They were a significant contributing force in several large wars.
League of Factions
League of Factions is a faction with the goal of unifying Pxls factions and protecting artwork from greater threats. Examples of the LOF in action can include the defending Pride Faction from the troll face or defending the Ravenclaw shield from 2ch.
Legion
Legion was considered the largest faction with the most firepower for several years. Their Discord is mostly based around the Roman Empire. They make art primarily based on the Legion in Fallout New Vegas and formed from the community of the youtuber wycc220. They are considered a neutral faction with no intention of damaging other's artworks unless in retaliation.
ManePxls
Mane is one of the oldest factions still active on the site. They make art relating to My Little Pony. It grew over time into one of the largest and most powerful factions.
Neuro-sama's Swarm
The Swarm came to Pxls after the VTuber Sinder held her own Pxls canvas. The faction is run out of a thread in the official Discord server of AI-VTuber Neuro-sama. The Swarm quickly gained many members and became the faction with the most canvas pixels on C82. They mostly make art related to Neuro-sama with some other anime art and collaborations with other factions.
osu!
Otherwise known as osuplace or osu! logo builders, this faction was created on r/place and came to Pxls to create art related to the video game osu!. Due to the massive size of the Discord server, they have created and maintained a large presence on Pxls.
Pink Gang
Pink Gang is similar to YOIB, but their artwork was mostly built around the idea of the using the color pink and making mostly anime girls and cutesy art. They were a very neutral faction, rarely getting into conflict.
Pixelstuck
Pixelstuck is a faction that makes art based on the webcomic Homestuck. It was created following a large influx of Homestuck fans from the TikTok invasion on C28. It has maintained a large canvas presence ever since and have been crucial to several conflicts (usually as mediators.)
YOIB
YOIB was created (at first) as an anti-void faction, but evolved over time into the idea of using a singular color and building artworks and a solid background with that color. They were generally neutral in canvas politics (but known to raid flags and arts of users they didn't like) until around the time of banned lives matter and 2ch's return, where they often intervened in events.
