The 2ch Incursion of Canvas 40 was a conflict waged by 2ch when they made a surprise return on C40. Targets included American and France Pxls. There were a lot fewer 2ch users than in past invasions involving the faction, hence why the conflict was not usually called an "Invasion," and was also sometimes just called a raid.
Prelude
2ch, a Russian imageboard website sometimes compared to 4chan, has made multiple invasions of Pxls in the past. This means large numbers of its users joined the site and attacked existing factions without a care for the existing politics of the site.
2ch's most recent major invasion was their 4th on Canvas 30, during which several community factions banded together to fight them off. However, since the invasion, it has received more popular support from groups such as YOIB and Woke Cells, which fought 2ch during the Fourth Invasion.
Timeline
Arrival (US flag battle)
On 9/11/2020, 2ch smashed onto the canvas, waging an intense battle for control of American PXLS's US flag template. They were trying to replace it with a plane template, which was very controversial since it was 9/11. American PXLS itself is a small faction, but a large number of volunteers from the community joined in the effort to protect the flag, resulting in a protracted battle. In the end, 2ch triumphed, probably due to a steady increase of placers and dwindling community defense.
During and after this battle, as 2ch's arrival became public, some members of Veil, YOIB, and even Legion switched their faction tags to 2ch and began to actively help them instead.
Hapoleon Battle
One day after the battle of the US flag, 2ch users started making a Yoba on top of France Pxls's art. The odds were first on 2ch's side, but France continued to defend until 2ch's and France's diplomats made a peace agreement. Small griefs continued before they eventually stopped.
Pixelstuck operation
One of 2ch's projects on the canvas was the creation of another Yoba Suit template (which was meant to have its suit extend all the way down to the bottom of the canvas). It went underneath Legion's template but then started to cover Pixelstuck's background. A vote in the Pixelstuck Discord server led to an official invasion by the faction, which successfully got rid of the Yoba Suit that covered their background.
Attack on the Space Marine
On September 27th, 2ch, with aid from Woke Cells (aka The Refuge) raided the Imperium's Space Marine art (because the leader had previously defended Pxls Roads from Woke Cells) by changing the colors from blue to orange. Despite a moderate group of volunteers protecting the art, the raiders were successful in completely converting the Space Marine.
Other activities
2ch was located pretty close to the middle of the canvas. 2ch members did some griefing of at least one solo art made by somebody who fought them in the US flag battle. They also spent some time chipping away at their borders with KAYC's background and Green Lattice, as well as building an art over the corpse of Pxls Roads.
