The Bingo Raid was an unsuccessful attack on the core of the Chromatic Empire organized by Grayscale Pxls, with some support from Flandre, on Canvas 65. When launched by Drake, its stated goal was to redesign the huge Imperial core so it would be more visually pleasing. A response was quickly mustered by pineApple, Temriel, and ioanBG, involving members of the Navy Blue Grand Monarchy, Purple Empire, Principality of Bahamaland, Eientei Province, and The Mothia. New Cells also helped the defense of the core in thanks for Imperial support during the Rosarian War. This grouping of defenders overwrote the changes made by the attackers in about half an hour.
It was eventually revealed that a "bingo sheet" had been made prior to the attack to guess how the Chromatic Empire would react. The conflict was recontextualized as a trolling operation, forgoing negotiation about the art's visual style in favor of a raid, to test the Empire's defenses and get a reaction out of pineApple in particular.
When it became clear that the Imperial defenses would hold against the raid, wider discussions between the opposing parties were opened. The conflict formally ended on good terms when the Chromatic Empire agreed to redesign their art (though the raid had been largely suppressed by this time). The raiding party agreed to a non-aggression pact and to help build the redesigned template.
Sometime after the raid, Grayscale Pxls and Flandre had a falling out, which manifested in the Flandre–Grayscale conflict on Canvas 67. At the same time, the Chromatic Empire continued the process of reconciliation with both factions; most notably by collaborating with Flandre to disband YOIB and by allying with (later vassalizing) Grayscale Pxls.
