D2 Defense Council

The D2 Defense Council was an alliance sponsored by the League of Factions that was designed to counter the aggressive actions of D2 on Canvas 53. It was founded out of a desire to ward off another 2ch-style canvas invasion, and indeed inherited some systems from the Second 2ch–LOF War. It was conceived by pineApple, though Hazard121000 also played an instrumental role in its functioning.

The League of Factions as a whole was involved, but so were some of its individual member-factions on a deeper level, such as Bahamaland, Pride Faction, Gura's Supermarket, the Femboy Café, and Corner Gang. It also brought together external anti-griefers and independent factions such as ManePxls, KagaamiX's gray background, 22 Lattice, Big Trans Flags, and the Navy Blue Grand Monarchy.

Significant actions of the Defense Council include defending the Femboy Café during the Femboy–D2 War, 22 Lattice during the invasion of 22 Lattice, and the Navy Blue Grand Monarchy during the Navy Colony War. It also coordinated on diplomatic affairs with Big Trans Flags, and logged the usernames of D2 placers in order to make projections on their total strength. Expanding the Council's jurisdiction to the defense of all off-canvas invasions was considered during the Trumpurple War, but ultimately not done.

After Canvas 53, D2 became far less aggressive and the need for the Council rapidly declined; it became apparent that this new faction would not follow in the footsteps of 2ch.
