The Ember Empire is a faction that was created on the Pxls Clone Stem Place. It was created with the intention of eventually transitioning to Pxls. While this was intended to happen around c46, it ended up actually taking place on c81 due to a variety of reasons. Stem Place history can be found at the bottom of the page.
The faction is dedicated to making large art with smaller art in-between. Each canvas, the theme is a different color from the palette, which is also used as the background. (Similarly to YOIB.)

The faction's main leadership consists of Admirals and above, who have admin in the Discord server.

Ranks
Ranking is based on points. Points can be gained a few different ways, but the most common and easiest is placing one pixel for the template or operation to get one point.
Most ranks come with increased permissions in the Discord and influence over faction affairs.

Canvas 81
During this canvas, the Ember Empire server was improved and restructured to facilitate the transfer to Pxls. Towards the end of the canvas, Ember had an operation to cover fiddle abuse. This was mostly meant as a test and a way to ease back into things. Selio also drafted a plan to create templates similar to YOIB, where there would be a single color theme per canvas. This was a departure from the original theme of the faction, which was art with warm colors based around a theme like nature or lava.
Canvas 82
This canvas, Ember Empire built a faction ad on the canvas before fully starting the plan. It was built entirely by Selio and Pogtato. The template suffered fairly bad griefs during construction and after completion, but nothing that couldn't be fended off.
Canvas 83
Selio was not able to create a template in time for the reset, so Ember was not present at the start. Halfway through the canvas, Ember began a raid on an abandoned fiddled artwork made by dema and co. This was the first canvas on Pxls where Ember had a color theme, that being orange. There was originally a plan for an orange background, which was scrapped due to other lattices in the area. There was an attempted raid on the brat summer art because it was constantly griefed without anyone repairing it. However, it was repaired overnight after the Ember Raid started, and so the raid was called off the next morning.
Canvas 84
When the reset was announced, Selio rushed to get a template together. Ember went with a pink theme for this canvas, and it is also the first instance of Ember making a colored background. There was not much expansion from the main template this canvas, but a couple notable things happened. Early on, Ember offered to get rid of a couple arts in the template to make space for a ManePxls collab. Shortly after the canvas reset, Mane scrapped most of their canvas plans due to limited space, but the Mane core and a few pony arts were able to be placed above Ember's territory. Ember also had full lattice transitions with Cells and Pixelstuck later in the canvas. When the template was nearly complete, Ember conducted a raid on a fiddled Jerma in Green Lattice territory. It was completed in less than 24 hours.

Stem Place
The Ember Empire was the largest faction on Stem Place during its existence. It occupied most of the canvas on 3 different occasions. The faction was initially created with warm color themes in mind, hence the name. The structure was based off YOIB and Legion from Pxls, with efficient operations and ranking. The plan was always to move the faction over to Pxls at some point. As the faction grew, it became increasingly apparent that this was necessary. Due to real life circumstances, burnout, and Selio largely quitting SP, the faction fizzled out after season 12 of Stem Place (April 2021) and did not join Pxls until years later (July 2024). Due to this, Ember Empire joined Pxls with a fraction of the original power and members it had.
Season 7
Ember Empire technically begun during season 7 (the canvas Stem Place was revived on after months of the site being down). Selio's ego project (later turned collab) had its template updates posted in the Ember Empire Discord server.
Season 8
In season 8 Ember finally started with a fairly large template of a fox head, dubbed "CP's fursona" by many community members. Many more foxes were added over time, as well as the Bag Town vassal faction. At this point Ember had the 3 fastest placers on the site and was able to create a large fox lattice as well. it faced some backlash which resulted in many fox cells being modified to be different colors or themed.
Season 9
In season 9 Ember claimed the entire bottom of the canvas. The theme was lava. There were a few raids of fiddled or upscaled art a little bit further from the main template. Towards the end of the canvas, there was a major lattice conflict where Ember covered the entirety of the rainbow road lattice, which had a sizable presence in the middle and right of the canvas.
Season 10
The Empire Empire picked a nature theme for season 10. There were many claim conflicts at the beginning. All of them ended in Ember's favor except for Netux's flapjack art, which he defended so well that the area was cropped out of the Ember template. Ember quickly expanded north and to the left. The Red Republic was added to the Ember Empire template as a vassal faction for easier defense and collaboration (they shared placers). The arts found at the top right of the template were defiddled by Selio for another user and placed on the Ember template. The arts on the top left were part of several raids. The Mettaton, fountain, pony, and "ember bad" targeted an area occupied by Cazy_Man. The skull targeted a fiddled blue lives matter art made by matbook_pro, a user notorious for making right wing fiddle abuse. Following a staff discussion, he was banned for a week. The art was already covered by Ember at that point, so there was no nuke. Ember collaborated with other users to build a single unified lattice for the first (and only) time ever. The entire canvas was covered with the crimtane lattice collab. By the end of the canvas, there were only a few arts not part of the Ember Empire template. This season was the peak of the faction's dominance on Stem Place, placing over 100k pixels.
Season 11
In season 11 The Ember Empire had a much smaller template. One reason was declining motivation due to the sheer amount of template work the previous canvas and the 2ch LOF wars on Pxls. Additionally, the fastest placer (pogtato) made their own Pepe focused faction. Ember spent most of the canvas doing various fiddle abuse raids. The grill and trolleybus went smoothly. For a long time there was a poorly drawn bird pixel art to the left of Ember's Pepe. Ember had been planning to cover it for a while, however another user was planning to do the same with a pixel art of Niko from Oneshot. When Niko began construction, Ember rushed to start building the gold skull. This sparked the Niko-Ember war. It was a period of several days of constant fighting with thousands of pixels being placed in the warzone daily. Niko received a lot of help from users opposed to or unaffiliated with the Ember Empire. Additionally, Bezimienny (a polish user), helped both sides, occasionally alternating between templates. This meant that when most users (americans) woke up, whatever side Bezi was helping with started with an advantage for the day. After several days of constant fighting, Ember Diplomatic Corps convinced the Niko builders to relocate their template to an open location. The Ember Empire was also to remove the war's contributions to the grief/potential raid list. This war contributed significantly to Selio's burnout, as they were placing all day from waking up to going to bed (not to mention the 2ch wars will still happening on Pxls, which Selio had an active role in organizing/helping). The canvas was mostly covered by variations of green lattice. Ember did an orange lattice. Other color variations like green, blue, red, and purple collectively filled most of the canvas.
Season 12
During season 12 Ember made a modified version of YOIB's roach taste art from Pxls Canvas 31. More detail was added to areas of solid color and the fiddled "roach taste" text was changed to say "matbook taste" in reference to the chronic fiddle abuser on Stem Place. The faction did not attempt any other art as Selio started slowing down significantly and other admirals did not wish to continue.
Season 13
Ember was not present at all on season 13, which was the final Stem Place canvas.
