Banned Lives Matter was a YOIB template on Canvas 38 that compared banning a user to the death of George Floyd. This template, created by the friends and allies of banned Pxls users following the ban bypass of 7/7, depicted Dark (a Pxls admin) kneeling on the neck of a banned user in the same way that George Floyd died. Pxls was taken down, the artwork was nuked, and many contributors were banned from Pxls, including 4us/Tetrus, a top member of YOIB. Backlash to the staff decision arose from some sections of the Pxls community, who criticized the lack of a warning against the users who built the artwork. The nuke opened up a space on the canvas which was contested in the Banhammer War. Ultimately, YOIB was victorious and built "Banned Lives Matter V2," without the elements comparing bans to George Floyd's death, over the same spot.

After this incident, YOIB continued to make Banned Lives Matter templates with different looks, turning it into more of a slogan.
