Operation Sugma was a major war for territory on Canvas 38, caused by YOIB building a large "ahegao girl" template over Pride Faction's flag heart template.

Timeline

Due to a lack of the numbers to resist YOIB's coverage of their template, Pride Faction was forced to allow them to steamroll it. On July 18th, the League of Factions announced an intervention in the area with the goal of restoring Pride Faction's flag heart template, with support from volunteer groups from several non-LOF factions.

After initially making fast gains in the area, YOIB and Veil defenders soon arrived in force. However, sheer numbers allowed the LOF to continue fighting and make progress, until eventually, Legion arrived in force to support YOIB. The reason Legion intervened was because they were planning to formally ally with YOIB on the next canvas but wanted to show their support beforehand.

LOF forces began to be pushed back, eventually abandoning their original area of attack and moving to build the flags in the top-right of the flag heart.

A short time after Legion intervened in the conflict and as defending forces began clashing heavily with LOF and allied forces in the northeast, they were asked to mediate a ceasefire between Pride Faction and the YOIB-Veil defending bloc, which they did.

People involved

An estimated 35 people were involved in the conflict, with the defending bloc being outnumbered initially but gaining an overwhelming numerical advantage after Legion arrived in force.

Aftermath

YOIB provided help with moving Pride Faction's flag heart immediately after the terms were agreed upon, ending the conflict officially. After the war ended, several YOIB members raided the Discord servers of LOF member-factions, resulting in heightened punishments, including a canvas ban for one of them.

At its height, the war involved around 50 people, making it the largest and most active war on Canvas 38.
