Lana is a veteran Pxls user and former moderator who joined on Canvas 2 but did not become an active user until Canvas 11. She has been varyingly active ever since, taking several hiatuses from Pxls. She is currently the leader of the Rose Khanate and a longtime member of Flandre. She was also the leader of the now defunct Left Pxls.
History
Prehistory (Canvas 2)
Information on this era is scarce. Though Lana created her Pxls account during Canvas 2, she was not an active placer at this time, nor was she associated with any factions. She made no actions of note before leaving the site.
Ancient Era (Canvas 11-15)
It was on Canvas 11 that Lana joined Pxls as an active placer and a member of the community. Due to joining at the relatively young age of 15, she gained a reputation for immaturity and edginess during this era of her placing career. She became a contributor to the Gray Corner, Doki Doki Pxls Club, and AFiP. During this time, Lana became friends with Fruity and Kori. These users formed two of her closest and oldest friendships, which she maintains to this day. The first war Lana participated in was the Anarcho-Transhumanist Invasion on Canvas 12, followed by the Schopenhauer Campaign on Canvas 15.
Lana's first solo artwork was a freelance project called "Project Egg", making several sprites of the Minecraft egg item across the canvas. While the motivation behind this project is unknown, Pxls historians have theorized that it was a subconscious reference to Lana's gender identity at the time. Project Egg continued over the next four canvases. On Canvas 12, Lana made a golden egg in the bottom right corner. On Canvas 13, she began to make more egg variations, such as in the colors of the Italian flag or Anarcho-Transhumanist flag. On Canvas 13b, Lana again made a golden egg in the bottom right corner. Though it was fully destroyed twice in the chaos of the mini-canvas, it survived to the end. Project Egg made its final appearance on Canvas 14. Feeling it was time to move on to new projects, Lana become associated with the Abyss. Lana's only other notable artwork during this era was a badly fiddled rendition of Monika from Doki Doki Literature Club!.
Moderator Era (Canvas 16-21)
Lana became the leader of a canvaswide conflict for the first time on Canvas 16, organizing the coalition responsible for the Invasion of AFiP. Her motivations for betraying her former faction are unknown, though given her propensity for war, it was most likely just for fun. During this conflict, Lana was temporarily canvas banned for the usage of an auto-clicker. Coming back from her ban later in the canvas, she would then be added to the Pxls staff as a moderator on October 4, 2018. Her placing activity declined afterward to focus on moderation duties.
Lana's placing activity on Canvases 17 and 18 was marked by the Second 2ch Invasion. She became a member of PATO, participating in the resistance against 2ch. Lana was one of the main staff members advocating for the first Nuke of 2ch, to the point that she would take credit for the event after it was enacted. She returned to a focus on freelance work on Canvas 19, making an artistic rendition of a kiwi from Jumping Flash!. This rendition was commonly referred to as "Berd". She used her moderation powers to add the Berd as an emote to the Pxls discord, which has remained to this day.
January 2019 was around the time that Lana began to question her sexuality and gender identity, internal struggles that would characterize her moderator era. Those struggles came to a head two months later. Lana's behavior grew worse, frequently lashing out at users and making offensive comments, leading to her removal from the staff team. She reacted to this by leaking internal staff information, after which she was banned from the Pxls discord. Her dramatic fall from grace prompted her to address the issues she had been grappling with, taking a sabbatical from Pxls to rethink her life and identity. This was the last canvas on which Lana went by her old username.
Pxls historians regard Lana's promotion to moderator as one of the Pxls admins' greatest mistakes. She was still a highly immature and divisive figure within the Pxls community at this time, and had turned 16 years old only three days prior. Her tenure was plagued with several incidents of mod abuse and unprofessionalism, culminating in its disgraceful end on March 15, 2019. This result is now regarded as an inevitable consequence of giving power to children. Lana's moderation scandals and other incidents like them contributed greatly to the modern day Pxls rule that all staff members must be 18 or older.
Reformed Era (Canvas 21a-32)
Lana made a minor contribution to Canvas 21a by drawing a small self-portrait. This art marked a shift in Lana's self-image, with all future representations of herself being explicitly feminine. She maintained a small Pxls presence over the next two canvases, the details of which are not known. Lana made her grand return as an active placer on Canvas 24, having fully came to terms with her gender over the summer. For her first freelance artwork of this new era, she drew a Pyukumuku from the Pokémon franchise, accompanied by an ego redesign. She also resumed being a major contributor to Doki Doki Pxls Club.
With the infamous "World Map" canvas attracting leagues of new players, coinciding with an invasion from TikTok, Canvas 29 saw a renewed age of conflict on Pxls. Most notably, the Portuguese faction steamrolled over much of western Europe. The island of Sicily was originally an ego dedicated to Fruity until Portugal invaded and occupied Italy. Lana organized a canvaswide coalition, the New Pixel Allies 2.0, with the goal of liberating Italy from occupation. The coalition was partially successful, and a peace agreement was brokered splitting Italy in half. Lana's other actions on the canvas include claiming a personal fiefdom in Louisiana, establishing small colonies in Greenland and Quebec, and helping sink Florida into the ocean. Lana's NPA commemorated their victory by making a large coat of arms in the center right of Canvas 29. In defiance towards the 2nd Pixel Axis, the NPA made their artwork directly next to their rival's.
Lana's main contribution to Canvases 31 and 32 was placing for Fruity's Made in Abyss-themed faction, Nanachi's Garden. She designed a heart-shaped lattice which she placed surrounding the Nanachi's Garden artworks. Following Canvas 32, she would take her second hiatus from Pxls.
Intermission (Canvas 34a-35)
Though Lana reportedly returned to Pxls on these canvases, the details of her activities are not known. Following these canvases, she would take her third hiatus from Pxls.
Intermission (Canvas 38-39)
Though Lana reportedly returned to Pxls on these canvases, the details of her activities are not known. Following these canvases, she would take her fourth hiatus from Pxls.
Left Pxls Era (Canvas 43a-48)
Though Lana reportedly returned to Pxls on Canvas 43a, the details of her activities are not known. On Canvas 44, she returned to making freelance art. Her main contribution was a large artwork of the titular character from the Professor Layton series of video games. She also reused her heart lattice design to claim a significant area on the canvas. Lana made her next large art piece on Canvas 45, this time of the character Lotte Jansson from the anime Little Witch Academia. This art is significant for being the first example of a Lana defiddle that was not derived from a preexisting pixel art.
Canvas 47 was a highly active canvas for Lana. The Pxls staff officially unbanned communist symbols from the canvas, prompting Lana to found Left Pxls, a faction dedicated to making far left symbology. She fought against the Fifth 2ch Invasion, specifically its Parting Gift Raid, as a defender for the Pride Faction. She was again a major advocate for a staff nuke of 2ch. Following the Second 2ch Nuke, she declared war on the Trollge Confederacy. Lana continued to lead Left Pxls on Canvas 48, making a large artwork of an anarcho-communist catgirl on the left side of the canvas. After this canvas, she would tire from faction leadership, and take her fifth hiatus from Pxls.
Intermission (Canvas 50)
Though Lana reportedly returned to Pxls on this canvas, the details of her activities are not known. Following this canvas, she would take her fourth hiatus from Pxls.
Black Cats Era (Canvas 55-58)
Lana returned to Pxls once again on Canvas 55, coinciding with the creation of Flandre. She would become one of its earliest and most dedicated members. Alongside Fruity, she fought in the Northeast Void War against her old enemy, the Trollge Confederacy. During this era, Lana entered into a relationship with Vanilla.
On Canvas 56a, Lana rebranded and revived Left Pxls in the form of The Black Cats. Like its predecessor, the Black Cats were dedicated to left wing politics, but with a lesser focus on making explicit political symbology, and a higher focus on making quality pixel art. The revival's debut artwork fit well with the simplified color palette of the gimmick canvas. Lana continued to lead the Black Cats on Canvas 57, making an anime girl wearing Red Army paraphernalia. The artwork garnered a small amount of controversy due to featuring a ushanka with a red star on it. The controversy and resulting griefs eventually led to a compromise where the red star was removed from the art. The Black Cats made their final appearance on Canvas 58, making an artwork of several cats dancing beneath a windowsill. After this canvas, Lana grew bored with the responsibility of faction leadership, and so decided to retire the faction once again.
Flandre Era (Canvas 59-68)
Lana's most significant act on Canvas 59 was the Chicanery, a sustained griefing campaign against IWBTG Pxls. This conflict marked the evolution of Flandre into an organized faction with a sustained presence on the canvas. Flandre became Lana's primary faction allegiance, and she contributed to all of their artworks and operations during this era of her placing career. She also commonly assisted other factions such as Gura's Supermarket, x190, and Eientei Province. She founded the short-lived factions of Rosaria and Lake Fairy Crew on Canvases 64 and 65 respectively. The latter was focused on making ironic, intentionally fiddled artwork, and the former was a color faction officially constituent of the Chromatic Empire but operating independently in practice.
She was a combatant in the Flandre-Foxhole War of Canvas 60, the Red Opcellogs of Canvases 61 and 64, and most notably, the Schizo War of Canvas 62. She also carried out solo griefing campaigns, such as against Roger's on Canvas 64. The era came to an end on Canvas 68, around which time Lana and Vanilla's relationship ended. Lana continued placing until reaching the milestone of 600,000 alltime pixels, then took her fifth hiatus from Pxls.
