Mikarific (or just Mika) was a Pxls user who joined the site on October 29, 2019, with the account "Mikarific". She is known for Leading Pride Faction, creating the Stem Place Pxls Clone, serving as a councilor in LOF, creating the Toki Pona faction, and serving as a Pxls moderator and developer. She was also the center of multiple controversies over the years, one of which led to her being banned from the Pxl Platform.

Controversies

Comments on Russian culture

In May 2021 Mikarific made offensive comments in Pxls chat regarding Russian culture. This caused Legion, 2chers, and other Russian Pxls users to demand the immediate demotion of Mikarific and a public apology, along with proposing staff reforms. Mikarific was suspended from moderator for a month and then reinstated, however, she retained the staff role during that time. The comments also helped trigger the brutal Second 2ch–LOF War on Canvas 46

Staff Leaks and Platform Ban

In may 2024 it came to the attention of Pxls Staff that Mikarific had been involved in a group dm in late 2023 which involved the sharing of sensitive Pxls information. The group dm had to do with disscontempt about the way Pxls was being run and included planning staff reform and other drastic measures to accomplish their goals. After a 4 day investigation Pxls staff announced Mika would be permanently banned from the platform and followed up by doing a Q&A session to address questions (which can be found here.)

Canvas 28

Mikarific joined Pxls as part of a search to find an open source r/place clone to be able to host her own "r/place" for her school. Pxls developers helped her set up Stem Place. Mika did not build anything on Pxls itself this canvas.

Canvas 33

On this canvas Mika returned to Pxls, creating Pride Faction and making her name in the Stem Place corner. Pride faction was targeted by several raids, which were all fought off by the end of the canvas.
