The Void-Axis Wars were a series of major conflicts between the New Pixel Axis and the Void, in addition to their respective allies, that took place on Canvas 2. The Void opened hostilities with an attack against the German Empire (an Axis member) called Operation Blackout, which was not successful. In retaliation, the Axis mounted a counterattack against the Void that came to be known as the Axis Stamp War. Though an Axis victory, this counterattack resulted in the removal of numerous neutral art pieces, attracting heavy criticism of the bloc and contributing to its dissolution.
The Void-Axis Wars spurred major anti-Void sentiment within the former German Empire and its successor factions that would last until their final disbandment on Canvas 4.
