Legion is a faction on Pxls.space, which creates art pieces inspired by the Legion from Fallout: New Vegas, the real-life Roman Empire, and videos of YouTuber Wycc220.

History

In 2017, the Russian social network VK launched a short-term analogue of Reddit /r/place.  The community consisting of viewers of Wycc220 channel took part as Legion. One of VK Pixel Battle's features is a constant war over territory due to large number of participants and small amount of space. After those 3 days were over, some of legionnaries moved to Pxls Canvas 6. Formally, it was the predecessor faction for Legion's current iteration. The Legion, in its entirety, is a highly organized paramilitary structure with hierarchy inspired by the Roman legion. VK Pixel Battle has been consistetly relaunched in both 2018 and 2019, with the last one bringing a small portion of the Legion back to Pxls.

The history of current iteration starts on October 29, 2019, when several legions led by the chief artist of the Legion Molodoy#8805 announced themselves on Pxls.space on Canvas 28.

Canvas 6

Immediately after the end of the first PB, one of the legionnaires called the others to pxls. Despite the lack of a clear command and plan, the legion drew a series of artworks related to Wycc220. Legion left pxls without even waiting for a reset.

Canvas 28

After third VK's Pixel Battle, Legion started to build into the last third of the canvas. Having found a place with great difficulty, Legion depicted a number of small drawings, including the Antler drawing (Brahmin's skull from the Fallout: New Vegas) and Legion's outpost. In general, Legion were just starting to understand the pxls order, especially process of creating drawings.

Canvas 29

On this canvas, the Legion has become larger. Molodoy painted a large art depicting the eagle of the Legion, Legate Lanius, Vulpes Inculta and Respected Man.

At the beginning of the canvas, there was a conflict with the Cozy Vault faction over the territory, which ended in the displacement of the Legion. In addition to the main drawings, a Legion-chan was made, a New Vegas billboard captured by the Legion, an aquifer, an Maniac with an Ax, an Outpost bar, as well as a stone of the Legion - a place where the names of all the legions from which volunteers came to us were carved. On this canvas, the Legion did not participate in any war, except for a short conflict with Cozy Vault over the territory at the beginning. There have also been minor cross-border conflicts due to some Cozy Vault members they are not controlling.

Organization structure

HQ

The Legion has a structure similar to that of the Roman Legion, but adjusted for a small number of people.

  • Legatus - Molodoy#8805. Leader of the Legion, art creator. Makes support for the current state of the template.
  • Praefectus Castorum - Tyto alba#1100. Legate Assistant for Discord server, diplomacy and internal affairs.
  • Tribunus - Snegovich#4997. Legate Assistant for military operations (military officer), diplomacy and internal affairs.
  • Retired officers - Miror#5048 (military officer), rederik_#5587 (diplomat)

Legion Diplomatic Corps

"Greetings, Legion’s Diplomatic Corps is speaking."
  • Founder and leader - Tyto alba#1100
  • Senior diplomat - uhbyr1#6372
  • Diplomat - Snegovich#4997, Wallhack#2569

First appeared on the 35th canvas, the LDC was the structure necessary to resolve the diplomatic issues of the Legion and other factions. LDC's debut was the peaceful resolution of the war between Veil and Simian Sculptors, in which the Legion was involuntarily drawn into.

The overly formal appeal of the LDC in the negotiations has become a meme.
