Faction of the Color Crimson
The Faction of the Color Crimson (FoTCC) was a red-themed faction that existed for a brief period on Canvas 25 and served as the precursor to the original Navy Blue Grand Monarchy.
History
Canvas 25
The FoTCC originated as a small circle of newcomers to Pxls.space who were interested in defending a flag-map of the German Empire that had come under attack by members of the Lunatic Cultists (LC). Unbeknownst to them, the attack on the flag-map was the result of an internal conflict within LC. Some of its members had taken it upon themselves to collectively punish the artwork of one of their own as a consequence of his annoying behavior. The FoTCC, which had lacked this context and become caught up in a conflict that was none of their business, made an agreement of neutrality with the Lunatic Cultists before quickly ending their involvement.
Later, the FoTCC clashed with cutiefruity's Tetris Lattice towards the bottom of the canvas but quickly gave up.
The most significant action of the FoTCC was their organization of a grief on ManePxls, which had built its art in the top right corner of the canvas. The purpose of the attack was to void the star at the centerpiece of their art with the color red. Multiple new recruits joined the griefing effort, and the FoTCC also made extensive use of the Pxls chat to gather support for their attack.
Allet was the main intermediary between ManePxls and FoTCC spokesman Timmy, and despite privately disliking the attackers, he explained the concept of templates and other site mechanics in an effort to end the conflict. This was ultimately unsuccessful and the griefing continued apace, eventually overrunning the main star of the ManePxls template. After the only concrete goal of the attack was achieved, momentum died down and the defenders began to rebuild.
While the attack was viewed as a victory, interest in the FoTCC began to fade and its placers began to prioritize building a navy blue background in the bottom left corner of the canvas. This would come to be known as the Navy Blue Grand Monarchy (NBGM).
Later canvases and legacy
An "FoTCC veteran" role was used in the NBGM server for several years after the dissolution of the Faction of the Color Crimson.
On Canvas 36, old grudges against ManePxls led numerous members of Bahamaland to grief them.
