Squirrel Scouts is an art faction founded by vtuber Caelan. It was created during Canvas 83.
History

Canvas 94
On October 29th, 2025, Caelan opened up pxls to place pixels while streaming. She began helping Neuro-sama's Swarm with their raid against bobmanjs's art, occurring in the context of the ongoing Swarm War. Several pxls users noticed Caelan's involvement in the conflict and visited her stream chat. Seeing that Caelan believed bobmanjs's art was a raid template and Swarm was defending their territory, these users explained that it was the other way around, with Swarm raiding bobmanjs for his role in the Swarm War. In light of this new context, Caelan and Squirrel Scouts agreed to stop helping Swarm's raid.
However, Caelan did not appreciate how pxls users interacted with her chat. Soon after withdrawing from the battle, she reached out to pxls staff through modmail to make a harassment report. Not liking the staff's response to her modmail report, Caelan decided to rejoin the raid.
Though Swarm initially had an advantage in the raid, bobmanjs's NEC allies had been able to regain ground after Caelan left. That changed around 8:30pm, when Caelan's return to the conflict turned the tides decisively back in Swarm's favor. With the Squirrel Scouts' help, the Swarm-PFam raid collab art was quickly completed. More pxls users visited her stream during the final stages of this battle. One of these users was Onion77, whose stream comments got him banned from her stream, the Neuro Expulsion Corps faction, and the pxls canvas. Caelan also promoted the raid on Twitter/X during this phase of the battle in hopes of gathering more support. Her posts on the platform attracted attention from pxls users. She exchanged pointed messages with several of them, and soon developed a catchphrase: "Please drop pixels in support of Neuro and Mouse ❤️" Multiple people who contacted Caelan were banned from NEC and/or pxls.
After helping Swarm regain the advantage against bobmanjs, Caelan moved to raid Charlie Zone's Hotdog and Spooder, which Swarm had previously failed to cover. Charlie Zone's template was covered with the Neuro Twins Gift artwork.
The following day, Caelan and the Squirrel Scouts were still defending the Gift artwork when it was expanded to cover the rest of Charlie Zone's territory. After completing her expanded template, another user invited Caelan to help turn Rose Khanate's horse girl into glue. This came after two unsuccessful previous attempts by PFam to cover the template during the ongoing Swarm War. Squirrel Scouts and Swarm quickly completed the glue template, which remains intact as of October 31.
Not long after this, Caelan officially left pxls, saying the platform was toxic and she had "sent a message" by covering multiple arts. She currently has hopes of creating an alternative vtuber pixel art site.

During Canvas 99, the Squirrel Scouts held an egg hunt on their grass-patterned lattice. Participants from several factions and solo members added their own eggs and other small art to the lattice for others to find.
