Black Mesa was a Half Life faction created by Selio that sporadically operated on 3 canvases. Initially the faction was called "The Lambda Complex" but Selio forgot the original name after a failed rebrand (explained below) and a couple years time, so it became "Black Mesa."
History
Canvas 47
The faction was created as "The Lambda Complex." Since Selio's activity was dwindling it was never super serious. It was a spur of the moment type thing because Selio was playing through the Half Life games for the first time.
On this canvas hazard12100 placed most of the template.
Canvas 51
After a few canvases away, The Lambda Complex made the Citadel from Half-Life 2. It also received scattered help.
Interlude
Around new years 2022, Selio rebranded the Discord server to "Illuminados Mesa," intending to have a split theme of Half Life and Resident Evil 4 art. While Selio palletized several RE4 arts, they never actually made them on canvas.
Canvas 81
After a couple years idle, Illuminados Mesa was rebranded to "Black Mesa," going fully back to the Half Life theme. Selio intended for c81 to be the last canvas this project was active and therefore made as much Half Life art on canvas as possible. The core of the template was a Combine Advisor, then many other scattered arts were added. Several were placed on top of fiddle abuse as raids. The Nihilanth art/raid was boosted by an organized group of ChE placers.
