Due to the code for Pxls being open source, several clones have been made by various users/groups. A clone is defined as a separate Pxls instance using the open source code on its own website. This page has an incomprehensive list of clones known in the Pxls community. All of the clones listed below are not currently active.

Pxls adjacent clones

  • 2a03
    • This was a clone that was popular in the Pxls community that had no cooldown.
  • Stem Place
    • Stem Place was a clone whitelisted to a school. More info can be found at its page, linked above.
  • 500x canvases
    • See linked page for info.
  • Housewives clone
  • Pinboard
    • Clone made by Jen
  • DigitalMural

Streamer event clones

  • Conner's Cool Content Canvas
  • Sinder Canvas
    • An event held by the VTuber Sinder during her subathon.
  • Ironmouse Canvas
    • This was an event held by the VTuber Ironmouse a week into her 2024 subathon. It was controversial because users received extra pixels if they were subscribed or donated to the charity. This completely changed the dynamic compared to many other pixel canvases, and so people deemed it "P2W." Despite backlash and some communities pulling out, the canvas maintained hundreds of users placing at any given moment and helped raise lots of money for the Immune Deficiency Foundation.

Community event clones

Miscellaneous clones

  • Vectorama canvas
    • A clone made in 2017. The clone was made for an official collaboration with Pxls and remained open until sometime in 2024, and continued to use Pxls' code from 2017 until the end.
  • Code Place
    • Code Place was a Pxls clone in the Stem Place community designed for experimenting with bots of various functions.
  • Pxls Feek
    • Pxls clone made by a Pxls contributor for testing and friends (no cooldown.)
  • osu!'s defiddle canvas
    • A clone that was open for a week that was intended to be a collaborative defiddling project of osu!'s "Euphoria" art. Not much progress was made and the art was later defiddled without use of the clone.
