Navification was the effort of osuplace members to make navy (color #16) the dominant color of Canvas 72.

The background, a space-themed navy with pink and mauve stars, was originally designed by the user mauzg0d for the HoYopxls faction, which was then adopted by osuplace for its aesthetic appeal. It was noticed through Clueless that the number of navy pixels on canvas started increasing rapidly once the background started being built. Some members pitched the idea of making navy the dominant canvas color, and thus the effort of Navification began.

After the completion of the initial extent, the background was expanded several times over the course of the canvas in all possible directions, with a focus on targeting white and black pixels due to being the dominant colors from the start of the canvas. Navification was one of the factors that precipitated osuplace's invasion of Green Lattice. However, after a diplomatic resolution, Green Lattice also assisted osuplace through a joint effort known as the Navy-Green Lattice.

Although the effort did not achieve its ultimate goal (navy ended up being the #2 color, next to black), it was still considered a success as navy was by far the most dominant color of all user-placed pixels at the end of the canvas.
