Place Invasion
Location
Result

The Place Invasion was an influx of Pxls users triggered by the re-establishment of r/place on April 1st, 2022. It resulted in a heightened amount of griefs and conflicts. The largest conflicts brought on by the Place Invasion were related to voids, most notably the Northeast Void War and Swarm War.

Timeline of events

Canvas 55

Northeast Void War

The Trollge Confederacy was among the first factions to suffer significant damage to its territory as a direct consequence of r/place. A void swallowed most of their template and was then covered by small arts, including one built by users from r/osuplace. After several days of near-total erasure of their art, Trollge mounted a counterattack and rebuilt their template.

Swarm War

A void group called The Swarm targeted Pxls.space in the aftermath of r/place, destroying several arts and building two cores. An anti-void bloc consisting of the League of Factions, Navy Blue Grand Monarchy, members of Pixelstuck and later Pxlsomori, and volunteers from other servers, repaired the destroyed arts and wiped out both void cores. This resulted in The Swarm moving to another r/place clone.

Despite several DDoS attacks hitting Pxls.space from April 3rd through April 7th, the average amount of users online on the website steadily rose, briefly exceeding 300 people on April 4th. As of April 23rd, the average online count is around 150 users.

Canvas reset

The canvas reset, separating Canvas 55 from Canvas 56, was moved forward to April 9th, then later pushed back to April 10th.
