'''Stem Place''' was a [[Pxls Clones|Pxls Clone]] created by [[Mikarific]], for her highschool in October 2019. She amassed a fairly large userbase on the site for one school, with hundreds of registered users and peaking at 69 online at once. Mika was responsible for introducing Pxls to members of Stem Place, posting the link in chat. Mika often mentioned Stem Place on Pxls, which led to outside interest in the site as well as it was the only popular Pxls Clone up to that point.

The original Stem Place ran between October 2019 and June 2022 over 13 canvases (with a 4 month interruption during the summer of 2020.)

== Timeline ==

=== Events between October 2019 ([[Canvas 28]]) and April 2020 ([[Canvas 35]]) ===
Mika discovered Pxls while c28 was nearing its end and created her instance shortly after. Stem place users began to make accounts but nothing much happened until [[Canvas 32]] when Pinapia, a faction from stem place focused around making kawaii pineapples (later absorbed into [[Stem Place|Stem Place faction]]), began making pineapples. The next canvas, [[Canvas 33]], there was a Stem Place corner (see [[Crimson Dawn]] history for more detail), and Mikarific started [[Pride Faction]] which almost immediately started a war. [[Selio]] and [[Mikarific]] continued doing their own things until the end of this period. In April 2020 (shortly before [[Canvas 35]]), the Stem Place Website randomly went down and was not brought back for some time. This caused Selio to make [[Stem Place]] a proper faction on Pxls and recruit other users from Stem Place to create their own "mini canvas."

The Stem Place Pxls Clone was not online during this period, until being revived during Pxls Canvas 40 by Mikarific, DrYamok, and Selio (see [[Crimson Dawn]] c40 for more info on this event.)

Throughout this period, the Stem Place Pxls faction and Pride faction continued to create art, attracting stem placers to both factions. During this period the [[League of Factions]] was also created, of which [[Selio]] and [[Mikarific]] were both councilors and members.

=== Events between October 2020 ([[Canvas 41]]) and March 2021 ([[Canvas 45]]) ===
At this time, the Stem Place Pxls faction rebranded to [[Crimson Dawn]] and [[Pride Faction]] continued making art. Both factions fought against [[2ch]] with LOF. The Stem Place site enjoyed a renaissance with new activity.

=== Events between April 2021 ([[Canvas 46]]) and June 2022 ([[Canvas 58]]) ===
The start of this period was marked with the continuing battles against 2ch until they were finally nuked. Following that, activity from Stem Placers both on Pxls and Stem Place started slowing down. Activity on the Stem Place site was very minimal for about a year, during which the canvas never changed. In June 2022, [[Selio]] took the Stem Place site offline.

=== Post Stem Place Death ===
After Stem Place died, its legacy on Pxls continued with a few more arts from Pride Faction and a couple users' continued involvement with the Pxls community. The powerhouse faction on Stem Place, [[The Ember Empire]], also began planning its transition to Pxls.

In totality, Stem Placers have contributed over a million pixels to pxls.space and several factions that were part of major events like the Pride Faction wars and 2ch wars.

Early on many Stem Placers were banned for multi accounting due to signing up on the same school IP. Some accounts were unbanned, but others never came back, and thus remain banned on canvas.

Bezimienny was the only normal Pxls user to obtain mod on Stem Place and became one of the most active users, placing over 100k. He became the most trusted of all the Pxls users let onto Stem Place in the community.

[https://pxls.space/profile/Selio Selio] is a Pxls.Space [[Pxls staff|Moderator]] and Wiki Admin who joined the site on November 13, 2019, with the username [https://pxls.space/profile/someone2342t someone2342t]. On January 14, 2020, they created the Pxls account they use today. Selio is one of many users who came from the Pxls Clone [[Stem Place (Pxls Clone)|"Stem Place".]] They have the highest pixel count out of the users from Stem Place.

Some of their most notable involvements with Pxls over the years (in order) include: Leader of [[Crimson Dawn|Stem Place (Faction)/Crimson Dawn]], Mod in [[Pride Faction]], founding member and Senior Councilor of the [[League of Factions]] (LOF), Mayo Ofical in [[YOIB]], Co-Leader in [[Bag Faction]], and Leader of the [[The Ember Empire]] (known simply as Ember).

Starting in May 2020, Selio made various contributions to the Pxls source code. Some of the more notable additions were:

* Blue theme (3 versions total, changed to be darker)
* Donator role and green chat name gradient for donators
* Separate clearing for heatmap and [[virginmap]], with keybinds
* Green theme
* Adding CSS labels for more elements
* Other various CSS changes and minor backend edits.

They also created a list of dev plans in 2020, most of which have still not been completed.

Selio created the canvas used for [[Canvas 38]], otherwise known as moon canvas.

After Selio came back they started working on more code contributions and also suggested several canvases to staff. The pink theme PR was merged at the start of [[Canvas 94]].

Selio joined Pxls with the account [https://pxls.space/profile/someone2342t someone2342t] after [[Mikarific]] shared the link. Someone2342t placed 8 pixels, looked around canvas, and then departed.

=== [[Canvas 30]] ===
Selio made the account [https://pxls.space/profile/CP_alt CP_alt] on this canvas, but they do not remember it at all.

=== [[Canvas 31]] ===
On c31, Selio returned to Pxls with a new account called [https://pxls.space/profile/Selio CP_Pixels] (for Crafter Productions). They began interacting in chat and meeting users (such as Swffl, the first Pxls user Selio talked to), but did not create any art.

On this canvas they became a little more active and created art for the first time. Selio brought over [[Pinapia]] (from Stem Place), which was a faction dedicated to making small kawaii pineapples.

On this canvas Selio and a couple other users from Stem Place built their names in the corner of the canvas, along with a few pineapples.

On this canvas [[Mikarific]] also created [[Pride Faction]]. Selio helped the Pride Faction template and participated in defending Pride from aggressors. Because of that (and possibly other griefs?), the Stem Place Corner was destroyed in an operation by [[YOIB]] later in the canvas.

For c34 Selio started by making Darth Nihilus from KOTOR. At the beginning there was an overlap with [[Pixelstuck]] so there was negotiations and in the end Pixelstuck helped move the Nihilus template outline down several pixels. Hazard contributed a significant amount to the template.

Selio additionally made 3 pineapples. They also helped out [[Pride Faction]], who encountered more conflicts this canvas.

=== [[Canvas 35]] ===
This canvas Selio officially created the Faction "[[Crimson Dawn|Pxls Stem Place]]." It was dedicated to making a zone where users from the [[Stem Place (Pxls Clone)|Stem Place Pxls Clone]] or other Pxls users could create small art. After the chaos of reset, a place was found below [[Scrappy Pixels]] where Stem Place set up.

=== [[Canvas 36]] ===
[[Stem Place|Pxls Stem Place]] expanded quite a bit this canvas. They ran into trouble at the beginning of the canvas because of the canvas shape and a claim dispute with [[ERROR Gang]]. Selio quickly created a template that molded into the canvas and avoided error. The rest of the canvas went pretty smoothly. Pxls Stem Place also created a [[lattice]]. Stem Place formed alliances with [[Bahamaland]] and [[Tea N' Tea]].

=== [[Canvas 37]] ===
This canvas Stem Place originally intended to have a dark blue background, but when the canvas dropped Selio realized [[YOIB]] was doing a dark blue theme and quickly changed the background color to turquoise.

On this canvas, the faction coalition known as the [[League of Factions]] (LOF) was formed and Stem Place was a founding member. No conflicts happened related to LOF this canvas, and it mainly served as a period where things were getting set up. As there was a need for moderation and help leading the coalition, several councilors were brought on, including Selio. On the last day of the canvas Stem Place had still not finished its background, so many users volunteered their help. Thanks to them, Stem Place finished in time for reset.

=== [[Canvas 38]] ===
[[Crimson Dawn|Stem Place]] used a dark blue background on this canvas, as had been planned for the previous canvas. C38 was a canvas designed and suggested by Selio, so they made a template shaped to the canvas in case staff team picked it, which made claiming at the beginning of the canvas much easier and faster for Stem Place. Later in the canvas Stem Place also had a lattice.

C38 featured a major war between LOF and [[Pride Faction]] versus [[YOIB]], known as [[Operation Sugma]]. Selio fought for LOF and Pride to try and repel YOIB's attack, but the defense was a failure. However, later in the canvas the flag heart was relocated next to Stem Place. Selio also placed for Pride outside of the war.

On c38 they also began helping [[Legion VOL "Apollo Gloria"|Legion]] for the first time, but it wasn't that substantial of a number.

=== [[Canvas 39]] ===
On this canvas Selio continued running [[Crimson Dawn|Stem Place]] and also placed for [[Pride Faction]]. The beginning of the canvas was a claim nightmare for Stem Place. There were claim conflicts with [[YOIB]], [[Pixel Zoo]], and [[Cirno Embassy]].

Around this canvas and during the next few, a user called Chinpachi was parading around a emoji called "hap," calling for it to be added to the Pxls server and repeatedly building it on the canvas. Selio vehemently hated hap for whatever reason and developed a bit of a rivalry and spoke out against it.

=== [[Canvas 40]] ===
This canvas started out with Stem Place doing a different art to celebrate the return of the Pxls Clone. (See [[Stem Place (Pxls Clone)]] or [[Crimson Dawn]].)

The template finished fairly quickly which left a lot of time for Selio to help with random things. c40 featured a large LOF Collab between member factions. Selio was one of the collab artists and worked to help organize it.

Besides the LOF Collab, Selio also placed for [[Legion VOL "Apollo Gloria"|Legion]] and Pride Faction.

=== [[Canvas 41]] ===
C41 was the first canvas to feature a LOF safezone. [[Crimson Dawn|Stem Place]] participated and built the Mandalorian, abandoning the old faction formula due to frustration from Selio. There was a claim issue with hazard12100, so Stem Place helped move his art up a bit.

During this canvas the major [[Troll Face War]] took place where [[Pride Faction]]'s template was erased. However, the troll face was later destroyed in [[Operation Crux|Operation Crux/Jabroni]] and the [[Gyarados Raid]]. Selio helped lead the LOF and Pride Faction defense against [[the Trollface Coalition]].

Selio and Cazy_Man along with Stem Place did a raid on small repeat pixel arts with a grill emoji.

During this canvas Selio also helped build Stem Place member ScoutOrion's personal art piece.

=== [[Canvas 42]] ===
On this canvas Stem Place made a few medium sized arts, after a minor claim conflict.

The big event of this canvas was the [[2ch Pride Raids]] where [[2ch]] repeatedly attacked [[Pride Faction]]. Along with the LOF, Selio helped defend Pride Faction in the war, but also during peacetime.

During this canvas Selio joined [[YOIB]] officially. Their decision to join YOIB can be considered odd in the context of the rest of their history, as YOIB was often opposed to factions Selio was in. Aside from taking interest in the faction concept and operation point system, a couple reasons for joining were to participate in [[fiddle abuse]] raids and form warmer relations with yoibers (which payed off in the future). They avoided helping anything related to banned users. Because of past coincidences and LOF-YOIB collaboration they started off with a few OP Points already. Placing during peaceful periods, Selio quickly climbed the ranks.

Additionally, [[Bag Faction]] was formed, though bags had already been present on Pxls for a while.

=== [[Canvas 43]] ===
Stem Place rebranded to [[Crimson Dawn]] and switched to a model of building a custom art piece each canvas. On c43 they built Vader's Castle.

Throughout the canvas Selio also placed a significant amount for teal YOIB.

Without a doubt the biggest event on this canvas was the [[C43 War]] between the League of Factions and [[2ch]]. It comprised of many battles all over the canvas. 2ch was also occasionally joined by other factions. It resulted in Pride Faction, Winter Starlight, and Harry Potter Pxls being destroyed, but also a peace brokered between LOF and 2ch that lasted for a couple canvases. Selio led several operations to defend LOF factions, and helped with others.

On c43a Crimson Dawn made a small art, but Selio primarily placed for YOIB this canvas. They also suggested/[[defiddled]] a few arts for YOIB.

Selio did not majorly participate in the [[Legion invasion of Canvas 43a]] on any side (I think), but aided LOF mobilization efforts as a councilor.

=== [[Canvas 44]] ===
[[Crimson Dawn]] created a piece based off the Siege of Mandalore and Selio helped manage the LOF safezone.

They additionally placed for YOIB and [[2ch]] (-as part of a CD fiddle abuse raid, and repayment to 2ch.)

During c44 Crimson Dawn ran into a situation where 2ch was considering raiding the faction's art. (Read more about it on the faction page.) This resulted in several very tense days where the LOF-2ch peace was almost broken. Crimson Dawn and the LOF managed to broker an agreement with 2ch, partially thanks to Selio and [[Pogtato]]'s membership in YOIB. It involved Crimson Dawn members placing for 2ch to repay for damages.

On c45 Crimson Dawn created Embo and a lattice. This was also the last canvas the faction was active on.

Cazy_Man and Selio raided the [[Hall of Flags]] because of a disdain for flags and rivalry with the faction owner.

Selio also participated in the [[First Siege of Trollge]] and [[Second Siege of Trollge]]. They placed a bit for YOIB this canvas as well, but way less than the last couple canvases.

=== [[Canvas 45a]] ===
Selio placed for YOIB, Legion, and a few pixels for [[Pixelstuck]]. They mainly placed the color orange this canvas, with a small amount of medium grey.

=== [[Canvas 46]] ===
Selio did not have any personal art on c46 and instead spent most of the canvas focused on the [[Second 2ch–LOF War]] (good read). They also placed a bit for YOIB and Legion. Selio slowed down on placing for YOIB around this point due to a variety of reasons.

The war was triggered by [[Mikarific]]'s comments about Russian culture not being great. The second LOF 2ch war was long and grueling, comprised of many battles lasting all canvas. Selio placed for Pride Faction and the League of Factions, and led a couple phases of LOF's operations during the war. The war ended with a 2ch victory in most territories. Both 2ch and LOF gained a significant amount of power during the war, which was much larger than the first. The two main theaters can be seen below.

This canvas, Selio created a new faction called [[The Lambda Complex]] to make Half Life art. It made a Gordon Freeman and a head crab in the top of the canvas. Hazard contributed a lot of pixels to this template, much like the Darth Nihilus from long before.

They also participated in the [[Corner War]] this canvas, which ended with the [[Nuke of 2ch (Canvas 47)|2ch nuke]]. Selio then participated in LOF training exercises to prepare for any potential future action, and helped a bit with Pride Faction and the LOF Safezone. They also helped a couple YOIB operations.

After checking the Pxls Discord ever but slowly more during the beginning of 2024, Selio started chatting in the Pxls Discord again after the [[Mikarific]] situation caught their attention. After it was over, Selio reminisced about past experiences on Pxls and desired to return, acting as a catalyst for renewed interest.

On c80, Selio started placing again- mainly in stacks- for [[Green Lattice]]. They also got a name change on the site. Meanwhile they started rejoining some Pxls factions servers and becoming active in those again as well.

This canvas Selio brought back the Lambda Complex as [[Black Mesa]] and placed a substantial amount of pixels. Selio placed over 30k on c81, more than any canvas before. They started re-establishing diplomatic relationships with Pxls factions and catching up on what they had missed in the previous couple years.

Aside from [[Black Mesa]], Selio had a canvas long crusade against [[fiddle abuse]]. Many different instances of fiddle abuse were either wiped or defiddled. Due to this, the final canvas is devoid of any fiddle abuse. The Black Mesa template itself expanded to cover three medium size fiddle abuses. The Nihilanth (top left) was assisted by members of the [[Chromatic Empire]] in exchange for Selio helping out with their lattice. A couple images of other raids are below.

This Canvas Selio brought over (along with the help of [[pogtato]]) the faction [[The Ember Empire]], which was the largest faction on the [[Stem Place (Pxls Clone)|Stem Place Pxls Clone]]. It did have an operation on the previous canvas, but the server was still being restructured. Selio and other members had initially planned to bring the faction to Pxls around [[c46]], but [[2ch]]-- and later-- life events, got in the way. This canvas, The Ember Empire built a faction ad on the canvas before fully starting. After it was complete Selio helped [[Legion VOL "Apollo Gloria"|Legion]] finish their template.

By the time The Ember Empire finished there was still a few days left of the canvas, so Selio placed for [[ManePxls]] for the rest of the canvas.

When reset was announced, Selio rushed to get together a template for The Ember Empire. They went with a pink theme for this canvas and it is also the first instance of Ember doing the colored background. Selio also sent the Leviathan art to [[Legion VOL "Apollo Gloria"|Legion]] which they ended up using on this canvas. A couple days into the canvas Selio proposed a collab between ManePxls and Ember so that Mane would have more presence on the canvas. (They scrapped most of their plans for the canvas during the chaos of reset.) Part of the Ember template was replaced with a Pinkie Pie collab.

Selio placed for Ember Empire most of the canvas. When the template was nearly complete, Ember conducted a raid on a [[fiddled]] Jerma in Green Lattice territory. After all of Ember's templates were done, Selio helped Legion finish up. After that, they placed for [[VGA]]/[[osu!]]'s background. When that was also done, Selio created a small pixel farm that they used for the rest of the canvas. They also joined {:}, a faction of 12 fast placers that occasionally builds things.

=== [[Canvas 85]] ===
Selio designed the canvas for C85. Prior to the canvas starting, Selio was approached by [[Sohiimfine]] about claiming their factions templates together. This turned into the [[r4nd0m]] alliance, comprised of [[FURU Pxls|FURU]], [[The Ember Empire]], [[Lunes]], [[Charlie Zone]], and [[Fisk]] at its inception. Selio prepared a r4nd0m combo template in the event of the leaf canvas being picked, so reset went very smoothly. Ember had a teal theme this canvas and a goal of beating their largest template size from the Stem Place Pxls clone. The starting template was larger than any of Selio's initial templates for any faction (~80k pixels). This canvas was largely inconsequential in terms of events. Ember's solid teal background was made the r4nd0m background as well, allowing Ember to keep expanding. Ember's final template size was a staggering 176,394 pixels, beating the largest template size they had achieved on [[Stem Place (Pxls Clone)|Stem Place]].

=== [[Canvas 86]] ===
On this canvas, [[FURU Pxls]] and [[The Ember Empire]] set up a collab together. [[Sohiimfine]] defiddled the main art piece and the background color maroon was chosen. Selio once again claimed for [[r4nd0m]]. Due to the canvas' strange shape, none of the 4 prepared arrangements worked, so Selio worked tirelessly for a fews hours to finalize an arrangement and fix claim conflicts. Miraculously no arts were cut, though the collab art was slightly overlapped with [[Charlie Zone]].

Things went smoothly for a few weeks, and then Sohi initiated a raid on Place Trees (north of ember). Selio did not want to involve Ember in the flame template, though Selio themself was eventually tempted to help complete the flames. Ember started an operation to build an oni mask over an expansion area of Place Trees that Selio did not like. It completely very quickly, and negotiations begun about reverting the flame raid. The main Place Trees template was restored and a new border was established to contain their freehand art expansion.

Next, Ember raided a duplicated art from the previous canvas, establishing the "EE2" colony, which was apple themed. During this canvas there had been constant discussions about raiding the GRID. This was due to its extremely slow speed and disliked concept. Eventually Ember launched a raid on it with a flying skull art. The template was handily completed and Selio gave advice to the GRID on how to avoid a similar situation in the future.

Next, an operation was launched to cover a sexual fiddled art made by Bobbybobby in [[Neuro-sama's Swarm|Swarm]] territory. A chef cat was placed on top with no resistance.

The rest of the canvas was relatively calm, with two other abandoned fiddle abuse arts near the main template getting covered.

Once again, the final Ember Empire template beat the previous size record. Maroon was the third most placed color on the canvas, only behind white and black. Additionally Selio achieved the milestone of 50k canvas pixels for the first time.

=== [[Canvas 87]] ===
For this canvas, [[The Ember Empire]] picked the color Navy. It was decided to have a smaller starting template because of the chaos during the previous reset. Selio claimed for [[r4nd0m]] again, which went perfectly because the canvas turned out to be a 3 million pixel rectangle. The copious amounts of free space caused Selio to find more art to claim in nearby spots, including a second full defiddle. This canvas Selio made 2 defiddles for Ember instead of the typical 1; Ember-San and maid cat boy Shoto (VTuber). Selio was part of the {:} (Pincus) ego collab of c87, and helped build it.

This canvas was long, but free of a lot of Ember related drama. The only special operation they had was to cover one of their own arts, because it was built before on a previous canvas. Midway through the canvas Ember prevented Reiss' Nyan Cat rainbow from passing through Ember's core territory.

A couple days later Selio participated in the [[Cell War (C87)|Cell Lattice raid]], which was initiated by Sohi and [[Pincus|{:}]], with [[Neuro-sama's Swarm|Swarm]] later joining in.

At this point, Ember still had a lot of background to cover, so Selio focused on that for the rest of the canvas. There were discussions about raiding Bobbybobby's latest fiddled art, but ultimately nothing happened.

Ember beat the previous canvas' template size by 40k pixels, totaling in at 223k pixels. Navy was the most placed color on this canvas, at 415k pixels of navy, and nearly 150k more than second place. Selio also reached 64k canvas pixels, a number which will likely be their all-time best canvas pixel count.

=== [[Canvas 88]] ===
Because of the long stretches without action on c87, Selio decided to make [[The Ember Empire]]'s starting template very small with the aspirations of doing more raids, colonies, and special operations for more fun. Ember chose to use Forest as the background color and [[Sohiimfine]] claimed for [[r4nd0m]] this canvas.

Early on, Bobbybobby was called out for his latest sexualized pixel art and subsequently disappeared from the canvas. 8 days into the canvas, Selio, [[TheMatsValk]], and Thefallenangel347 started a 2 piece raid on this art. It was the start of Ember Empire's first colony, but since the bottom art was not defiddled yet, an official operation didn't begin. The top art completed in about a day. A week later, Selio finished the defiddle on the bottom and the Ember Raid template was posted. It pulled in even more users who helped finish the 10k art in about a day.

After this, another round of expansions were posted for the main template. Plans also began to expand the colony to the left and include a text label. Plans for another rock art were scrapped when a Philippines area was built in the open space. The backup plan involved building a plant cat instead. However this would cover user Wisteria's cat art. The raid plans were okayed and an operation to complete the first colony started. This caused a minor diplomatic crises when Swarm became involved and the cat was revealed to be Wisteria's ego and personal depiction. After some discussion it was moved to within [[Neuro-sama's Swarm|Swarm]] territory.

Another week later a second ember colony started over what was a large abandoned rectangle claim. Another rock was put there.

After this, Selio begun a solo mission to destroy some fiddled arts on the canvas, taking advantage of Ember's good template speed. Selio covered a fiddled gem in [[Cell Lattice]], a flag near [[ManePxls|Mane]] and Ember (alongside a few other users), and some fiddled art by a new user below [[Cirno Embassy]] (which was eventually defiddled by another user).

Then Ember had a third colony which put text in the bottom row of the empty [[GRID]] and put a trolley bus below it, poking fun at the [[Canvas 86]] raid and continued emptiness of the GRID. The trolley bus was previously built by [[YOIB]] on [[c42]] and by Ember on [[Stem Place (Pxls Clone)|Stem Place]]. The third colony was almost entirely built by Selio since it didn't have a dedicated operation phase in Ember.

The Ember Empire's main template soon finished and Selio spent their remaining pixels on a couple miscellaneous templates, but not much else happened.

=== [[Canvas 88a]] ===
Several factions had been preparing for a large collab on [[c89]] nicknamed the [[purp13]] collab. The main members of which were [[The Ember Empire]], [[The Purple Empire]], [[Gura's Supermarket]], [[Kitty Pxls]], [[Darkhood]], and [[FURU Pxls]]. They arranged small art for the upcoming April Fools canvas and agreed to work together on it as well. It turned out to be a fairly large homage to the cloud canvas ([[c35]]), so more art was added like a big dragon. As a reference to [[YOIB]] on c35, purp13 also went with a pastel yellow background and theme.

Due to happenstance, several factions ended up in similar positions as c35 and Selio wanted to intentionally create more. For example, encouraging [[osu!]] to adopt Legion's lattice and encouraging [[Neuro-sama's Swarm|Swarm]] to adopt a pink lattice, to recreate the Pink/Legion/Yellow split from c35.

For the first day or two, purp13 had the fastest template going around 1k pixels per hour.

[[Legion VOL "Apollo Gloria"|Legion]] reappeared on this canvas with the goal of [[Legion invasion of Canvas 88a|taking it over]], like they [[Legion invasions of Canvas 43a|had done]] on [[c43a]]. Legion diplomats revealed they had initially planned to attack purp13, along with the right side of the canvas, but due to past faction alliances and Selio's work with Legion, they offered purp13 the opportunity to be an ally in the war and the guarantee they would not be touched. Selio was eager to join and relive the days of c43a. Other member faction leaders were interested as well. purp13 accepted the deal.

The next day Legion launched an attack on Swarm. purp13 also joined in and Legion's lattice gained territory for a few hours, but Swarm called in reinforcements that handily pushed back the offensive line. purp13's template activity was largely fractured for the rest of the canvas due to this, with a couple more all out offensive pushes and pings. Towards the end, they also colonized a mostly empty raindrop with some extra art.

Selio was not heavily involved with templating on this canvas, and instead focused on placing and diplomacy work.

=== [[Canvas 89]] ===
During this canvas, the [[purp13]] collab would happen proper. The theme was dark purple, with a solid background. Before the canvas, Selio had reduced a gif of green [[Filipus098|Filipus]] using [[Clueless]] as a joke, and [[Lana]] decided to adapt it as a template for her faction [[Lake Fairy Crew]]. It was added to the purp13 claim template. The rest of the [[r4nd0m]] member factions were also added to the claim template, though not directly part of the main collab. Both main collab arts were unfinished at the start of the canvas, which help lead to a couple claim problems.

A few days into the canvas, Selio was added as a Pxls Trail Moderator.

Not much happened during the middle of the canvas. Selio placed the purple haired girl taken from YOAB, and then random parts of the rest of the template. It became evident the collab template was an overclaim, as the template ETA crawled past reset ETA. After the trail mod phase ended, Selio became a full Pxls [[Pxls staff|Moderator]].

Eventually purp13 sped up and neared completion. Selio fought a few small arts. The collab [[defiddle]] was finally completed a day before reset and so the template finished as well. After that, Selio completely covered the grid with dark purple on their own. It was 2x2 tiles this canvas rather than the typical 5x5. Shortly afterwards, there was a push aided by Pxls chat that rebuilt the grid and expanded it even more. The grid faced other griefs for the remainder of the canvas (about 13 hours), though Selio had stopped placing on the canvas by then (to stop at the round number 27k canvas).

The final purp13 template was 428,554 pixels, breaking the record of the largest [[The Ember Empire|Ember Empire]] template. Dark purple was also the most placed color behind black and white. As with [[c88a]], Selio did not do much template work on c89, which served as a much needed break from the constant templating during the past several months.

=== [[Canvas 90]] ===
A few days before the canvas, Selio approached [[Zephyr]] about a collab between [[The Ember Empire]] and [[Void]]. It would be called "The Ember Void" collab.

Selio designed the canvas (which was a brick) and also palletized the art [[Legion]] used this canvas.

About 18 hours after reset, [[Antde]] and [[notEnough]] started placing an art of Masyunya (a cat character from a VK sticker pack) above part of the EmberVoid template with help from [[Schizophrenia]] members. Upon waking up, Selio mobilized a dozen users to defend EmberVoid. Selio asked why they were attacking and the reason was a retaliatory attack against [[Iceydwagon]] (Zephyr) for griefing Antde's outline at the start of the previous canvas. EmberVoid had the advantage for a while, and the sudden need for fast placement actually increased template speed. Negotiations started to try and end the conflict. It was ill timed for Selio and they did not want to engage in a long war. The first resolution was removing the Void logo from the template and ending the official collaboration. This was done at the start of the third day of the canvas, turning The Ember Void into Ember Empire black.

A few days later, Iceydwagon apologized for the griefs on the previous canvas, and the Void logo was allowed to be rebuilt without conflict. In under a week, The Ember Void had returned.

Selio kept placing EmberVoid. They also built the tummy of [[osu!]]'s Flayon art. Nearing the end of the canvas, Ember had an operation to cover some fiddled text with a rock. By then, EmberVoid had spread all the way up to Legion. The template finished a bit early after a brief border scuffle with [[Swarm]]. There was no more opportunity for expansion.

With the last few days, Selio destroyed some art made by a user called Friitz and made a few [[bags]]. They also made an impromptu 500k [[ego]] in [[GL]] using a green bag as the ego art.

=== [[Canvas 91]] ===
This canvas, Selio arranged a collab between [[The Ember Empire]] and [[Grayscale Pxls]] called "The Gayscale Empire." Selio and [[Sohiimfine]] designed the collab logo and Selio made the pride flag gay hug defiddle for the starting template. Most of the art was given pride flag outlines.

First 10 days were just placing for the collab. Then Selio gave art from the Ember reserves to [[Pincus|{:}]] (pincus) to cover a large/slow claim (the top art in the second image). Selio participated in building the art as well as the second {:} art a few days later, which covered the then outline of a [[Toon Pxls]] template.

Members of [[Neuro-sama's Swarm]] started attacking [[Pebble]]'s art at about this point. Selio placed a bit to help defend before the Ember canvas operation started. During this, Selio created two more defiddles, Venti from Genshin Impact, and Robin from Honkai Star Rail; both with pride flag outlines.

Ember took over the Chaotic Evil portion of [[Darkhood]]'s alignment chart. It covered a few random things already in the spot and used a downscaled version of [[YOIB]]'s roach taste art from [[Canvas 31]]. The remaining background was :3 lattice.

When The Gayscale Empire started to become more complete, Selio started a [[fiddle abuse]] raid at the bottom of the canvas, putting a rock above it. Shortly after, another fiddle abuse raid was conducted using a furry defiddle. Ember returned to the rock location to add more arts nearby (with a third smaller fiddle abuse raid) and a larger :3 (colonthree) lattice to fill all of the empty space.

Then Ember used Sohi's Lady Gaga album text designs to farm pixels underneath his [[ego]]. They were able to get through 4 at a very rapid pace. With a bit more than a day before [[reset]], Selio turned back to defend Pebble's art before stopping at a round canvas pixel count. <gallery widths="200" heights="200">

=== Name Etymology ===
Not anticipating sticking around, Selio signed up as "someone" on both [[Stem Place (Pxls Clone)|Stem Place]] and Pxls. Since the name was taken on Pxls, they just added random text to create "someone2342t".

After a bit, Selio starting using the name "CP_Pixels." It was derived from "Crafter Productions," which was the name of a YouTube channel they ran until the end of 2019. That itself was derived from "FireCrafter" which was the username Selio came up with for Minecraft as a young child.

In early 2021, they began looking for a new name due to having a bad acronym. They came up with "Selisoweli," meaning "fire animal" in the colang Toki Pona. [[Cazy_Man]] suggested shortening it to "Selio." Soon after they took it on as their Discord name. Despite this, Selio was still "CP_Pixels" on the Pxls site until May 2024 when they finally asked for a name change.

==Site Mechanics==
===Canvas reset===
A canvas reset is a mechanic of pxls.space in which the current canvas changes to a new one. These usually take around an hour. A canvas resets once the canvas is deemed “full” by the [[Pxls staff]] (usually around a month). Resets get announced 3 days in advance in the [https://discord.gg/raA6det Pxls Discord server] and in the notifications tab on the site.

The Pxls chat was added on August 1st 2019<ref>https://github.com/pxlsspace/Pxls/pull/198</ref> and functions as a way for users to coordinate on the canvas without needing to use the [https://discord.gg/raA6det Pxls Discord server.]

It also has some additional functionality, such as:
* When you paste a template url it automatically converts it to a simplified version
* The amount of pixels you've placed (rounded) is displayed next to your name
* A faction that you are in can be displayed next to your name if you click the Set Displayed button next to a faction in your profile
* You can change your name color to any of the palette colors, as well as [https://thewafflelord37.github.io/Pxls-stuff/Donator%20Gradients.html some custom gradients] if you've made a donation to Pxls.

The Pxls developers may sometimes temporarily lower the cooldown between getting pixels as a fun small event, or to make up for lost time if the site went down unexpectedly.

===-snip- mode===
-snip- mode is a canvas mode that effects user's usernames, changing them all temporarily to '-snip-' instead of their usual username. This effectively makes each user anonymous. -snip- mode does not affect the color, faction or tag of the user's username. -snip- mode has only been used on a few gimmick canvases, those being canvases [[Canvas 13b|13b]], [[Canvas 21a|21a]], [[Canvas 34a|34a]], [[Canvas 43a|43a]], [[Canvas 60a|60a]], [[Canvas 78a|78a]], [[Canvas 88a|88a]], and accidentally on [[Canvas 67a|67a]] due to lookups being broken.

The reason -snip- mode was created was to hide users' IP's since they would've been shown instead of usernames due to the pxls.space server being migrated to a different computer. Since then it has been just been used as an interesting gimmick on some gimmick canvases.

A template is an image displayed on top of the canvas to make it easier for a user to create an art piece.

===Template styles===
There are several different "styles" that templates can be displayed with. Pictured below are a few of the most commonly used. For a list of all the template styles, see [[List of styles]].

In common conversation, most users refer to the second and third styles as "dotted" and "symbols" respectively.

The terms on the top for each are used in the template settings on the website, while the terms on the bottom are used by [[Clueless]] when using its /template command.

===Undo===
After placing a pixel, a large undo button will appear at the bottom of the screen allowing you to undo your pixel in case you misplaced it, or are [[Community dictionary#"Virgin"_related_terms|devirgining]]. This button will disappear after around five seconds. Alternatively, the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Z will also undo a pixel whenever the undo button is visible.

Every user has three undos available a minute. When a pixel is undone, a sixty second timer begins that will restock your undos once finished. This means that you are able to undo a pixel, then (for example) do two more undos after waiting fifty seconds, and your undos will restock ten seconds after that instead of forcing you to wait a full minute every time an undo is performed.

===Annie===
Annie is a character/inside joke created by [[Pxls staff]]. She was mentioned in the canvas announcements for [[Canvas 34|C34]], [[Canvas 34a|C34a]], [[Canvas 36|C36]], and [[C98a]].

The story goes that canvas 34 (a teddy bear) was given to the community by Annie to be colored. Canvas 34 was stopped midway through for the gimmick canvas 34a, which had the design of a few viruses. The "lore" reason for the surprise gimmick canvas was that Annie was taking a COVID-19 test and the teddy bear was quarantined. Annie was mentioned in the announcement for the ending of canvas 36 (a slice of cheese) stating "yall took Annie's cheese smh, what is she going to take to the picnic on the beach now." The Annie story was brought back for canvas 98a, which is the cheese canvas with only the holes placeable. The "lore" reason was Annie doesn't actually like swiss cheese and the community had to fill the holes on the second slice to make up for stealing the first.

This was one of the only times "lore" was added to the canvases, the other time being on [[canvas 67a]].

===Bag===
A bag is a small sprite brought to Pxls by [[Bezimienny]] and shadow_z_az. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9SKEIc9VGOI It comes from the game "Knights of Pen And Paper 2"] and is intended to be a guinea pig. However, this fact isn't immediately obvious, so users on Pxls began theorizing what it could be (including but not limited to: a kangaroo, a rat, a bag, a fetus, a potato.) People also used the bag emotes to express various different emotions. Quickly, people started adding stuff on to "bags" or creating a new bag entirely. The naming convention for bags is "thiscanmeananythingbut-x."

Over the course of time two separate bag factions have been created: [[Bag Faction]] created by Bezimienny and shadow_z_az, and [[Bag Nation]] created by Mr. Sneke and House-5.

[[Canvas 43a]] depicts a large bag as the placeable area of the canvas.

It started as a joke by Pxls user [[fisk]] during New Year's at the end of 2023 with them continuing to say "Happy new year" long after the new year had started. Some other Pxls users noticed and joined in wishing a happy new year, with others noticing them and joining as well leading to the phrase being as widely used as it is today.

The phrase eventually grew so popular, [[Happy New Year|an entire faction was made that builds new year themed art on the canvas]].

[https://pxls.space/profile/Selio Selio] is a Pxls.Space [[Pxls staff|Moderator]] and Wiki Admin who joined the site on November 13, 2019, with the username [https://pxls.space/profile/someone2342t someone2342t]. On January 14, 2020, they created the Pxls account they use today. Selio is one of many users who came from the Pxls Clone [[Stem Place (Pxls Clone)|"Stem Place".]] They have the highest pixel count out of the users from Stem Place.

Some of their most notable involvements with Pxls over the years (in order) include: Leader of [[Crimson Dawn|Stem Place (Faction)/Crimson Dawn]], Mod in [[Pride Faction]], founding member and Senior Councilor of the [[League of Factions]] (LOF), Mayo Ofical in [[YOIB]], Co-Leader in [[Bag Faction]], and Leader of the [[The Ember Empire]] (known simply as Ember).

Starting in May 2020, Selio made various contributions to the Pxls source code. Some of the more notable additions were:

* Blue theme (3 versions total, changed to be darker)
* Donator role and green chat name gradient for donators
* Separate clearing for heatmap and [[virginmap]], with keybinds
* Green theme
* Adding CSS labels for more elements
* Other various CSS changes and minor backend edits.

They also created a list of dev plans in 2020, most of which have still not been completed.

Selio created the canvas used for [[Canvas 38]], otherwise known as moon canvas.

After Selio came back they started working on more code contributions and also suggested several canvases to staff. The pink theme PR was merged at the start of [[Canvas 94]].

On this canvas [[Mikarific]] also created [[Pride Faction]]. Selio helped the Pride Faction template and participated in defending Pride from aggressors. Because of that (and possibly other griefs?), the Stem Place Corner was destroyed in an operation by [[YOIB]] later in the canvas.

For c34 Selio started by making Darth Nihilus from KOTOR. At the beginning there was an overlap with [[Pixelstuck]] so there was negotiations and in the end Pixelstuck helped move the Nihilus template outline down several pixels. Hazard contributed a significant amount to the template.

Selio additionally made 3 pineapples. They also helped out [[Pride Faction]], who encountered more conflicts this canvas.

This canvas Selio officially created the Faction "[[Crimson Dawn|Pxls Stem Place]]." It was dedicated to making a zone where users from the [[Stem Place (Pxls Clone)|Stem Place Pxls Clone]] or other Pxls users could create small art. After the chaos of reset, a place was found below [[Scrappy Pixels]] where Stem Place set up.

[[Stem Place|Pxls Stem Place]] expanded quite a bit this canvas. They ran into trouble at the beginning of the canvas because of the canvas shape and a claim dispute with [[ERROR Gang]]. Selio quickly created a template that molded into the canvas and avoided error. The rest of the canvas went pretty smoothly. Pxls Stem Place also created a [[lattice]]. Stem Place formed alliances with [[Bahamaland]] and [[Tea N' Tea]].

This canvas Stem Place originally intended to have a dark blue background, but when the canvas dropped Selio realized [[YOIB]] was doing a dark blue theme and quickly changed the background color to turquoise.

On this canvas, the faction coalition known as the [[League of Factions]] (LOF) was formed and Stem Place was a founding member. No conflicts happened related to LOF this canvas, and it mainly served as a period where things were getting set up. As there was a need for moderation and help leading the coalition, several councilors were brought on, including Selio. On the last day of the canvas Stem Place had still not finished its background, so many users volunteered their help. Thanks to them, Stem Place finished in time for reset.

[[Crimson Dawn|Stem Place]] used a dark blue background on this canvas, as had been planned for the previous canvas. C38 was a canvas designed and suggested by Selio, so they made a template shaped to the canvas in case staff team picked it, which made claiming at the beginning of the canvas much easier and faster for Stem Place. Later in the canvas Stem Place also had a lattice.

C38 featured a major war between LOF and [[Pride Faction]] versus [[YOIB]], known as [[Operation Sugma]]. Selio fought for LOF and Pride to try and repel YOIB's attack, but the defense was a failure. However, later in the canvas the flag heart was relocated next to Stem Place. Selio also placed for Pride outside of the war.

On c38 they also began helping [[Legion VOL "Apollo Gloria"|Legion]] for the first time, but it wasn't that substantial of a number.

=== [[Canvas 39]] ===
On this canvas Selio continued running [[Crimson Dawn|Stem Place]] and also placed for [[Pride Faction]]. The beginning of the canvas was a claim nightmare for Stem Place. There were claim conflicts with [[YOIB]], [[Pixel Zoo]], and [[Cirno Embassy]].

Around this canvas and during the next few, a user called Chinpachi was parading around a emoji called "hap," calling for it to be added to the Pxls server and repeatedly building it on the canvas. Selio vehemently hated hap for whatever reason and developed a bit of a rivalry and spoke out against it.

This canvas started out with Stem Place doing a different art to celebrate the return of the Pxls Clone. (See [[Stem Place (Pxls Clone)]] or [[Crimson Dawn]].)

The template finished fairly quickly which left a lot of time for Selio to help with random things. c40 featured a large LOF Collab between member factions. Selio was one of the collab artists and worked to help organize it.

Besides the LOF Collab, Selio also placed for [[Legion VOL "Apollo Gloria"|Legion]] and Pride Faction.

=== [[Canvas 41]] ===
C41 was the first canvas to feature a LOF safezone. [[Crimson Dawn|Stem Place]] participated and built the Mandalorian, abandoning the old faction formula due to frustration from Selio. There was a claim issue with hazard12100, so Stem Place helped move his art up a bit.

During this canvas the major [[Troll Face War]] took place where [[Pride Faction]]'s template was erased. However, the troll face was later destroyed in [[Operation Crux|Operation Crux/Jabroni]] and the [[Gyarados Raid]]. Selio helped lead the LOF and Pride Faction defense against [[the Trollface Coalition]].

Selio and Cazy_Man along with Stem Place did a raid on small repeat pixel arts with a grill emoji.

During this canvas Selio also helped build Stem Place member ScoutOrion's personal art piece.

On this canvas Stem Place made a few medium sized arts, after a minor claim conflict.

The big event of this canvas was the [[2ch Pride Raids]] where [[2ch]] repeatedly attacked [[Pride Faction]]. Along with the LOF, Selio helped defend Pride Faction in the war, but also during peacetime.

During this canvas Selio joined [[YOIB]] officially. Their decision to join YOIB can be considered odd in the context of the rest of their history, as YOIB was often opposed to factions Selio was in. Aside from taking interest in the faction concept and operation point system, a couple reasons for joining were to participate in [[fiddle abuse]] raids and form warmer relations with yoibers (which payed off in the future). They avoided helping anything related to banned users. Because of past coincidences and LOF-YOIB collaboration they started off with a few OP Points already. Placing during peaceful periods, Selio quickly climbed the ranks.

Stem Place rebranded to [[Crimson Dawn]] and switched to a model of building a custom art piece each canvas. On c43 they built Vader's Castle.

Throughout the canvas Selio also placed a significant amount for teal YOIB.

Without a doubt the biggest event on this canvas was the [[C43 War]] between the League of Factions and [[2ch]]. It comprised of many battles all over the canvas. 2ch was also occasionally joined by other factions. It resulted in Pride Faction, Winter Starlight, and Harry Potter Pxls being destroyed, but also a peace brokered between LOF and 2ch that lasted for a couple canvases. Selio led several operations to defend LOF factions, and helped with others.

On c43a Crimson Dawn made a small art, but Selio primarily placed for YOIB this canvas. They also suggested/[[defiddled]] a few arts for YOIB.

[[Crimson Dawn]] created a piece based off the Siege of Mandalore and Selio helped manage the LOF safezone.

They additionally placed for YOIB and [[2ch]] (-as part of a CD fiddle abuse raid, and repayment to 2ch.)

During c44 Crimson Dawn ran into a situation where 2ch was considering raiding the faction's art. (Read more about it on the faction page.) This resulted in several very tense days where the LOF-2ch peace was almost broken. Crimson Dawn and the LOF managed to broker an agreement with 2ch, partially thanks to Selio and [[Pogtato]]'s membership in YOIB. It involved Crimson Dawn members placing for 2ch to repay for damages.

On c45 Crimson Dawn created Embo and a lattice. This was also the last canvas the faction was active on.

Cazy_Man and Selio raided the [[Hall of Flags]] because of a disdain for flags and rivalry with the faction owner.

Selio also participated in the [[First Siege of Trollge]] and [[Second Siege of Trollge]]. They placed a bit for YOIB this canvas as well, but way less than the last couple canvases.

Selio placed for YOIB, Legion, and a few pixels for [[Pixelstuck]]. They mainly placed the color orange this canvas, with a small amount of medium grey.

Selio did not have any personal art on c46 and instead spent most of the canvas focused on the [[Second 2ch–LOF War]] (good read). They also placed a bit for YOIB and Legion. Selio slowed down on placing for YOIB around this point due to a variety of reasons.

The war was triggered by [[Mikarific]]'s comments about Russian culture not being great. The second LOF 2ch war was long and grueling, comprised of many battles lasting all canvas. Selio placed for Pride Faction and the League of Factions, and led a couple phases of LOF's operations during the war. The war ended with a 2ch victory in most territories. Both 2ch and LOF gained a significant amount of power during the war, which was much larger than the first. The two main theaters can be seen below.

This canvas, Selio created a new faction called [[The Lambda Complex]] to make Half Life art. It made a Gordon Freeman and a head crab in the top of the canvas. Hazard contributed a lot of pixels to this template, much like the Darth Nihilus from long before.

They also participated in the [[Corner War]] this canvas, which ended with the [[Nuke of 2ch (Canvas 47)|2ch nuke]]. Selio then participated in LOF training exercises to prepare for any potential future action, and helped a bit with Pride Faction and the LOF Safezone. They also helped a couple YOIB operations.

After checking the Pxls Discord ever but slowly more during the beginning of 2024, Selio started chatting in the Pxls Discord again after the [[Mikarific]] situation caught their attention. After it was over, Selio reminisced about past experiences on Pxls and desired to return, acting as a catalyst for renewed interest.

On c80, Selio started placing again- mainly in stacks- for [[Green Lattice]]. They also got a name change on the site. Meanwhile they started rejoining some Pxls factions servers and becoming active in those again as well.

This canvas Selio brought back the Lambda Complex as [[Black Mesa]] and placed a substantial amount of pixels. Selio placed over 30k on c81, more than any canvas before. They started re-establishing diplomatic relationships with Pxls factions and catching up on what they had missed in the previous couple years.

Aside from [[Black Mesa]], Selio had a canvas long crusade against [[fiddle abuse]]. Many different instances of fiddle abuse were either wiped or defiddled. Due to this, the final canvas is devoid of any fiddle abuse. The Black Mesa template itself expanded to cover three medium size fiddle abuses. The Nihilanth (top left) was assisted by members of the [[Chromatic Empire]] in exchange for Selio helping out with their lattice. A couple images of other raids are below.

This Canvas Selio brought over (along with the help of [[pogtato]]) the faction [[The Ember Empire]], which was the largest faction on the [[Stem Place (Pxls Clone)|Stem Place Pxls Clone]]. It did have an operation on the previous canvas, but the server was still being restructured. Selio and other members had initially planned to bring the faction to Pxls around [[c46]], but [[2ch]]-- and later-- life events, got in the way. This canvas, The Ember Empire built a faction ad on the canvas before fully starting. After it was complete Selio helped [[Legion VOL "Apollo Gloria"|Legion]] finish their template.

On this canvas they brought back [[Bag Faction]] along with a new combo template to easily make bags. Selio spent the majority of the canvas making bags, attempting to set a new record for number of bags present on a canvas.

Selio was not able to create their own art before the canvas began so they began the canvas by placing for [[Legion VOL "Apollo Gloria"|Legion]]. After the main art was complete, they started making Legion's lattice.

Halfway through the canvas [[The Ember Empire]] began a raid on an abandoned [[fiddled]] artwork made by [[dema]] and co.

By the time The Ember Empire finished there was still a few days left of the canvas, so Selio placed for [[ManePxls]] for the rest of the canvas.

=== [[Canvas 84]] ===
When reset was announced, Selio rushed to get together a template for The Ember Empire. They went with a pink theme for this canvas and it is also the first instance of Ember doing the colored background. Selio also sent the Leviathan art to [[Legion VOL "Apollo Gloria"|Legion]] which they ended up using on this canvas. A couple days into the canvas Selio proposed a collab between ManePxls and Ember so that Mane would have more presence on the canvas. (They scrapped most of their plans for the canvas during the chaos of reset.) Part of the Ember template was replaced with a Pinkie Pie collab.

Selio placed for Ember Empire most of the canvas. When the template was nearly complete, Ember conducted a raid on a [[fiddled]] Jerma in Green Lattice territory. After all of Ember's templates were done, Selio helped Legion finish up. After that, they placed for [[VGA]]/[[osu!]]'s background. When that was also done, Selio created a small pixel farm that they used for the rest of the canvas. They also joined {:}, a faction of 12 fast placers that occasionally builds things.

=== [[Canvas 85]] ===
Selio designed the canvas for C85. Prior to the canvas starting, Selio was approached by [[Sohiimfine]] about claiming their factions templates together. This turned into the [[r4nd0m]] alliance, comprised of [[FURU Pxls|FURU]], [[The Ember Empire]], [[Lunes]], [[Charlie Zone]], and [[Fisk]] at its inception. Selio prepared a r4nd0m combo template in the event of the leaf canvas being picked, so reset went very smoothly. Ember had a teal theme this canvas and a goal of beating their largest template size from the Stem Place Pxls clone. The starting template was larger than any of Selio's initial templates for any faction (~80k pixels). This canvas was largely inconsequential in terms of events. Ember's solid teal background was made the r4nd0m background as well, allowing Ember to keep expanding. Ember's final template size was a staggering 176,394 pixels, beating the largest template size they had achieved on [[Stem Place (Pxls Clone)|Stem Place]].

=== [[Canvas 86]] ===
On this canvas, [[FURU Pxls]] and [[The Ember Empire]] set up a collab together. [[Sohiimfine]] defiddled the main art piece and the background color maroon was chosen. Selio once again claimed for [[r4nd0m]]. Due to the canvas' strange shape, none of the 4 prepared arrangements worked, so Selio worked tirelessly for a fews hours to finalize an arrangement and fix claim conflicts. Miraculously no arts were cut, though the collab art was slightly overlapped with [[Charlie Zone]].

Things went smoothly for a few weeks, and then Sohi initiated a raid on Place Trees (north of ember). Selio did not want to involve Ember in the flame template, though Selio themself was eventually tempted to help complete the flames. Ember started an operation to build an oni mask over an expansion area of Place Trees that Selio did not like. It completely very quickly, and negotiations begun about reverting the flame raid. The main Place Trees template was restored and a new border was established to contain their freehand art expansion.

Next, Ember raided a duplicated art from the previous canvas, establishing the "EE2" colony, which was apple themed. During this canvas there had been constant discussions about raiding the GRID. This was due to its extremely slow speed and disliked concept. Eventually Ember launched a raid on it with a flying skull art. The template was handily completed and Selio gave advice to the GRID on how to avoid a similar situation in the future.

Next, an operation was launched to cover a sexual fiddled art made by Bobbybobby in [[Neuro-sama's Swarm|Swarm]] territory. A chef cat was placed on top with no resistance.

The rest of the canvas was relatively calm, with two other abandoned fiddle abuse arts near the main template getting covered.

Once again, the final Ember Empire template beat the previous size record. Maroon was the third most placed color on the canvas, only behind white and black. Additionally Selio achieved the milestone of 50k canvas pixels for the first time.

=== [[Canvas 87]] ===
For this canvas, [[The Ember Empire]] picked the color Navy. It was decided to have a smaller starting template because of the chaos during the previous reset. Selio claimed for [[r4nd0m]] again, which went perfectly because the canvas turned out to be a 3 million pixel rectangle. The copious amounts of free space caused Selio to find more art to claim in nearby spots, including a second full defiddle. This canvas Selio made 2 defiddles for Ember instead of the typical 1; Ember-San and maid cat boy Shoto (VTuber). Selio was part of the {:} (Pincus) ego collab of c87, and helped build it.

This canvas was long, but free of a lot of Ember related drama. The only special operation they had was to cover one of their own arts, because it was built before on a previous canvas. Midway through the canvas Ember prevented Reiss' Nyan Cat rainbow from passing through Ember's core territory.

A couple days later Selio participated in the [[Cell War (C87)|Cell Lattice raid]], which was initiated by Sohi and [[Pincus|{:}]], with [[Neuro-sama's Swarm|Swarm]] later joining in.

At this point, Ember still had a lot of background to cover, so Selio focused on that for the rest of the canvas. There were discussions about raiding Bobbybobby's latest fiddled art, but ultimately nothing happened.

Ember beat the previous canvas' template size by 40k pixels, totaling in at 223k pixels. Navy was the most placed color on this canvas, at 415k pixels of navy, and nearly 150k more than second place. Selio also reached 64k canvas pixels, a number which will likely be their all-time best canvas pixel count.

=== [[Canvas 88]] ===
Because of the long stretches without action on c87, Selio decided to make [[The Ember Empire]]'s starting template very small with the aspirations of doing more raids, colonies, and special operations for more fun. Ember chose to use Forest as the background color and [[Sohiimfine]] claimed for [[r4nd0m]] this canvas.

Early on, Bobbybobby was called out for his latest sexualized pixel art and subsequently disappeared from the canvas. 8 days into the canvas, Selio, [[TheMatsValk]], and Thefallenangel347 started a 2 piece raid on this art. It was the start of Ember Empire's first colony, but since the bottom art was not defiddled yet, an official operation didn't begin. The top art completed in about a day. A week later, Selio finished the defiddle on the bottom and the Ember Raid template was posted. It pulled in even more users who helped finish the 10k art in about a day.

After this, another round of expansions were posted for the main template. Plans also began to expand the colony to the left and include a text label. Plans for another rock art were scrapped when a Philippines area was built in the open space. The backup plan involved building a plant cat instead. However this would cover user Wisteria's cat art. The raid plans were okayed and an operation to complete the first colony started. This caused a minor diplomatic crises when Swarm became involved and the cat was revealed to be Wisteria's ego and personal depiction. After some discussion it was moved to within [[Neuro-sama's Swarm|Swarm]] territory.

Another week later a second ember colony started over what was a large abandoned rectangle claim. Another rock was put there.

After this, Selio begun a solo mission to destroy some fiddled arts on the canvas, taking advantage of Ember's good template speed. Selio covered a fiddled gem in [[Cell Lattice]], a flag near [[ManePxls|Mane]] and Ember (alongside a few other users), and some fiddled art by a new user below [[Cirno Embassy]] (which was eventually defiddled by another user).

Then Ember had a third colony which put text in the bottom row of the empty [[GRID]] and put a trolley bus below it, poking fun at the [[Canvas 86]] raid and continued emptiness of the GRID. The trolley bus was previously built by [[YOIB]] on [[c42]] and by Ember on [[Stem Place (Pxls Clone)|Stem Place]]. The third colony was almost entirely built by Selio since it didn't have a dedicated operation phase in Ember.

The Ember Empire's main template soon finished and Selio spent their remaining pixels on a couple miscellaneous templates, but not much else happened.

=== [[Canvas 88a]] ===
Several factions had been preparing for a large collab on [[c89]] nicknamed the [[purp13]] collab. The main members of which were [[The Ember Empire]], [[The Purple Empire]], [[Gura's Supermarket]], [[Kitty Pxls]], [[Darkhood]], and [[FURU Pxls]]. They arranged small art for the upcoming April Fools canvas and agreed to work together on it as well. It turned out to be a fairly large homage to the cloud canvas ([[c35]]), so more art was added like a big dragon. As a reference to [[YOIB]] on c35, purp13 also went with a pastel yellow background and theme.

Due to happenstance, several factions ended up in similar positions as c35 and Selio wanted to intentionally create more. For example, encouraging [[osu!]] to adopt Legion's lattice and encouraging [[Neuro-sama's Swarm|Swarm]] to adopt a pink lattice, to recreate the Pink/Legion/Yellow split from c35.

For the first day or two, purp13 had the fastest template going around 1k pixels per hour.

[[Legion VOL "Apollo Gloria"|Legion]] reappeared on this canvas with the goal of [[Legion invasion of Canvas 88a|taking it over]], like they [[Legion invasions of Canvas 43a|had done]] on [[c43a]]. Legion diplomats revealed they had initially planned to attack purp13, along with the right side of the canvas, but due to past faction alliances and Selio's work with Legion, they offered purp13 the opportunity to be an ally in the war and the guarantee they would not be touched. Selio was eager to join and relive the days of c43a. Other member faction leaders were interested as well. purp13 accepted the deal.

The next day Legion launched an attack on Swarm. purp13 also joined in and Legion's lattice gained territory for a few hours, but Swarm called in reinforcements that handily pushed back the offensive line. purp13's template activity was largely fractured for the rest of the canvas due to this, with a couple more all out offensive pushes and pings. Towards the end, they also colonized a mostly empty raindrop with some extra art.

Selio was not heavily involved with templating on this canvas, and instead focused on placing and diplomacy work.

=== [[Canvas 89]] ===
During this canvas, the [[purp13]] collab would happen proper. The theme was dark purple, with a solid background. Before the canvas, Selio had reduced a gif of green [[Filipus098|Filipus]] using [[Clueless]] as a joke, and [[Lana]] decided to adapt it as a template for her faction [[Lake Fairy Crew]]. It was added to the purp13 claim template. The rest of the [[r4nd0m]] member factions were also added to the claim template, though not directly part of the main collab. Both main collab arts were unfinished at the start of the canvas, which help lead to a couple claim problems.

A few days into the canvas, Selio was added as a Pxls Trail Moderator.

Not much happened during the middle of the canvas. Selio placed the purple haired girl taken from YOAB, and then random parts of the rest of the template. It became evident the collab template was an overclaim, as the template ETA crawled past reset ETA. After the trail mod phase ended, Selio became a full Pxls [[Pxls staff|Moderator]].

Eventually purp13 sped up and neared completion. Selio fought a few small arts. The collab [[defiddle]] was finally completed a day before reset and so the template finished as well. After that, Selio completely covered the grid with dark purple on their own. It was 2x2 tiles this canvas rather than the typical 5x5. Shortly afterwards, there was a push aided by Pxls chat that rebuilt the grid and expanded it even more. The grid faced other griefs for the remainder of the canvas (about 13 hours), though Selio had stopped placing on the canvas by then (to stop at the round number 27k canvas).

The final purp13 template was 428,554 pixels, breaking the record of the largest [[The Ember Empire|Ember Empire]] template. Dark purple was also the most placed color behind black and white. As with [[c88a]], Selio did not do much template work on c89, which served as a much needed break from the constant templating during the past several months.

=== [[Canvas 90]] ===
A few days before the canvas, Selio approached [[Zephyr]] about a collab between [[The Ember Empire]] and [[Void]]. It would be called "The Ember Void" collab.

Selio designed the canvas (which was a brick) and also palletized the art [[Legion]] used this canvas.

About 18 hours after reset, [[Antde]] and [[notEnough]] started placing an art of Masyunya (a cat character from a VK sticker pack) above part of the EmberVoid template with help from [[Schizophrenia]] members. Upon waking up, Selio mobilized a dozen users to defend EmberVoid. Selio asked why they were attacking and the reason was a retaliatory attack against [[Iceydwagon]] (Zephyr) for griefing Antde's outline at the start of the previous canvas. EmberVoid had the advantage for a while, and the sudden need for fast placement actually increased template speed. Negotiations started to try and end the conflict. It was ill timed for Selio and they did not want to engage in a long war. The first resolution was removing the Void logo from the template and ending the official collaboration. This was done at the start of the third day of the canvas, turning The Ember Void into Ember Empire black.

A few days later, Iceydwagon apologized for the griefs on the previous canvas, and the Void logo was allowed to be rebuilt without conflict. In under a week, The Ember Void had returned.

Selio kept placing EmberVoid. They also built the tummy of [[osu!]]'s Flayon art. Nearing the end of the canvas, Ember had an operation to cover some fiddled text with a rock. By then, EmberVoid had spread all the way up to Legion. The template finished a bit early after a brief border scuffle with [[Swarm]]. There was no more opportunity for expansion.

With the last few days, Selio destroyed some art made by a user called Friitz and made a few [[bags]]. They also made an impromptu 500k [[ego]] in [[GL]] using a green bag as the ego art.

=== [[Canvas 91]] ===
This canvas, Selio arranged a collab between [[The Ember Empire]] and [[Grayscale Pxls]] called "The Gayscale Empire." Selio and [[Sohiimfine]] designed the collab logo and Selio made the pride flag gay hug defiddle for the starting template. Most of the art was given pride flag outlines.

First 10 days were just placing for the collab. Then Selio gave art from the Ember reserves to [[Pincus|{:}]] (pincus) to cover a large/slow claim (the top art in the second image). Selio participated in building the art as well as the second {:} art a few days later, which covered the then outline of a [[Toon Pxls]] template.

Members of [[Neuro-sama's Swarm]] started attacking [[Pebble]]'s art at about this point. Selio placed a bit to help defend before the Ember canvas operation started. During this, Selio created two more defiddles, Venti from Genshin Impact, and Robin from Honkai Star Rail; both with pride flag outlines.

Ember took over the Chaotic Evil portion of [[Darkhood]]'s alignment chart. It covered a few random things already in the spot and used a downscaled version of [[YOIB]]'s roach taste art from [[Canvas 31]]. The remaining background was :3 lattice.

When The Gayscale Empire started to become more complete, Selio started a [[fiddle abuse]] raid at the bottom of the canvas, putting a rock above it. Shortly after, another fiddle abuse raid was conducted using a furry defiddle. Ember returned to the rock location to add more arts nearby (with a third smaller fiddle abuse raid) and a larger :3 (colonthree) lattice to fill all of the empty space.

Then Ember used Sohi's Lady Gaga album text designs to farm pixels underneath his [[ego]]. They were able to get through 4 at a very rapid pace. With a bit more than a day before [[reset]], Selio turned back to defend Pebble's art before stopping at a round canvas pixel count. <gallery widths="200" heights="200">

=== Name Etymology ===
Not anticipating sticking around, Selio signed up as "someone" on both [[Stem Place (Pxls Clone)|Stem Place]] and Pxls. Since the name was taken on Pxls, they just added random text to create "someone2342t".

After a bit, Selio starting using the name "CP_Pixels." It was derived from "Crafter Productions," which was the name of a YouTube channel they ran until the end of 2019. That itself was derived from "FireCrafter" which was the username Selio came up with for Minecraft as a young child.

In early 2021, they began looking for a new name due to having a bad acronym. They came up with "Selisoweli," meaning "fire animal" in the colang Toki Pona. [[Cazy_Man]] suggested shortening it to "Selio." Soon after they took it on as their Discord name. Despite this, Selio was still "CP_Pixels" on the Pxls site until May 2024 when they finally asked for a name change.

The pxls.space "core" resides in Washington D.C., United States, where users have made a pxls.space logo surrounded by [[Green Lattice]].

Starting in May 2020, Selio made various contributions to the Pxls source code. Some of the more notable additions were:

* Blue theme (3 versions total, changed to be darker)
* Donator role and green chat name gradient for donators
* Separate clearing for heatmap and [[virginmap]], with keybinds
* Green theme
* Adding CSS labels for more elements
* Other various CSS changes and minor backend edits.

They also created a list of dev plans in 2020, most of which have still not been completed.

Selio created the canvas used for [[Canvas 38]], otherwise known as moon canvas.

After Selio came back they started working on more code contributions and also suggested several canvases to staff. The pink theme PR was merged at the start of [[Canvas 94]].

Selio joined Pxls with the account [https://pxls.space/profile/someone2342t someone2342t] after [[Mikarific]] shared the link. Someone2342t placed 8 pixels, looked around canvas, and then departed.

Selio made the account [https://pxls.space/profile/CP_alt CP_alt] on this canvas, but they do not remember it at all.

On c31, Selio returned to Pxls with a new account called [https://pxls.space/profile/Selio CP_Pixels] (for Crafter Productions). They began interacting in chat and meeting users (such as Swffl, the first Pxls user Selio talked to), but did not create any art.

On this canvas they became a little more active and created art for the first time. Selio brought over [[Pinapia]] (from Stem Place), which was a faction dedicated to making small kawaii pineapples.

On this canvas Selio and a couple other users from Stem Place built their names in the corner of the canvas, along with a few pineapples.

On this canvas [[Mikarific]] also created [[Pride Faction]]. Selio helped the Pride Faction template and participated in defending Pride from aggressors. Because of that (and possibly other griefs?), the Stem Place Corner was destroyed in an operation by [[YOIB]] later in the canvas.

For c34 Selio started by making Darth Nihilus from KOTOR. At the beginning there was an overlap with [[Pixelstuck]] so there was negotiations and in the end Pixelstuck helped move the Nihilus template outline down several pixels. Hazard contributed a significant amount to the template.

Selio additionally made 3 pineapples. They also helped out [[Pride Faction]], who encountered more conflicts this canvas.

=== [[Canvas 35]] ===
This canvas Selio officially created the Faction "[[Crimson Dawn|Pxls Stem Place]]." It was dedicated to making a zone where users from the [[Stem Place (Pxls Clone)|Stem Place Pxls Clone]] or other Pxls users could create small art. After the chaos of reset, a place was found below [[Scrappy Pixels]] where Stem Place set up.

[[Stem Place|Pxls Stem Place]] expanded quite a bit this canvas. They ran into trouble at the beginning of the canvas because of the canvas shape and a claim dispute with [[ERROR Gang|Error Gang]]. Selio quickly created a template that molded into the canvas and avoided error. The rest of the canvas went pretty smoothly. Pxls Stem Place also created a [[lattice]]. Stem Place formed alliances with [[Bahamaland]] and [[Tea N' Tea]].

=== [[Canvas 37]] ===
This canvas Stem Place originally intended to have a dark blue background, but when the canvas dropped Selio realized [[YOIB]] was doing a dark blue theme and quickly changed the background color to turquoise.

On this canvas, the faction coalition [[League of Factions]] was formed and Stem Place was a founding member. No conflicts happened related to LOF this canvas, and it mainly served as a period where things were getting set up. As there was a need for moderation and help leading the coalition, several councilors were brought on, including Selio. On the last day of the canvas Stem Place had still not finished its background, so many users volunteered their help. Thanks to them, Stem Place finished in time for reset.

=== [[Canvas 38]] ===
[[Crimson Dawn|Stem Place]] used a dark blue background on this canvas, as had been planned for the previous canvas. C38 was a canvas designed and suggested by Selio, so they made a template shaped to the canvas in case staff team picked it, which made claiming at the beginning of the canvas much easier and faster for Stem Place. Later in the canvas Stem Place also had a lattice.

C38 featured a major war between [[League of Factions|LOF]]/[[Pride Faction]] and [[YOIB]], known as [[Operation Sugma]]. Selio fought for LOF and Pride to try and repel YOIB's attack, but the defense was a failure. However, later in the canvas the flag heart was relocated next to Stem Place. Selio also placed for Pride outside of the war.

On c38 they also began helping [[Legion VOL "Apollo Gloria"|Legion]] for the first time, but it wasn't that substantial of a number.

=== [[Canvas 39]] ===
On this canvas Selio continued running [[Crimson Dawn|Stem Place]] and also placed for [[Pride Faction]]. The beginning of the canvas was a claim nightmare for Stem Place. There were claim conflicts with [[YOIB]], [[Pixel Zoo]], and [[Cirno Embassy]].

Around this canvas and during the next few, a user called Chinpachi was parading around a emoji called "hap," calling for it to be added to the Pxls server and repeatedly building it on the canvas. Selio vehemently hated hap for whatever reason and developed a bit of a rivalry and spoke out against it.

=== [[Canvas 40]] ===
This canvas started out with Stem Place doing a different art to celebrate the return of the Pxls Clone. (See [[Stem Place (Pxls Clone)]] or [[Crimson Dawn]].)

The template finished fairly quickly which left a lot of time for Selio to help with random things. c40 featured a large [[League of Factions|LOF]] Collab between member factions. Selio was one of the Collab artists and worked to help organize it.

Besides the LOF Collab, Selio also placed for [[Legion VOL "Apollo Gloria"|Legion]] and [[Pride Faction]].

=== [[Canvas 41]] ===
C41 was the first canvas to feature a [[League of Factions|LOF]] safezone. [[Crimson Dawn|Stem Place]] participated and built the Mandalorian, abandoning the old faction formula due to frustration from Selio. There was a claim issue with hazard, so Stem Place helped move his art up a bit.

During this canvas the major [[Troll Face War]] took place where [[Pride Faction]]'s template was erased. However, the troll face was later destroyed in [[Operation Crux|Operation Crux/Jabroni]] and the [[Gyarados Raid]]. Selio helped lead the [[League of Factions|LOF]] and [[Pride Faction]] defense against the [[The Trollface Coalition|Trollface Coalition]].

Selio and Cazy_Man along with Stem Place did a raid on small repeat pixel arts with a grill emoji.

During this canvas Selio also helped build Stem Place member ScoutOrion's personal art piece.

=== [[Canvas 42]] ===
On this canvas Stem Place made a few medium sized arts, after a minor claim conflict.

The big event of this canvas was the [[2ch Pride Raids]] where [[2ch]] repeatedly attacked [[Pride Faction]]. Along with the [[League of Factions|LOF]], Selio helped defend Pride Faction in the war, but also during peacetime.

During this canvas Selio joined [[YOIB]] officially. Their decision to join YOIB is odd in the context of the rest of their history, as YOIB was often opposed to factions Selio was in. Aside from taking interest in the faction concept and operation point system, a couple reasons for joining were to participate in [[fiddle abuse]] raids and form warmer relations with yoibers (which payed off in the future). They avoided helping anything related to banned users. Because of past coincidences and LOF-YOIB collaboration they started off with a few OP Points already. Stem Place rebranded to [[Crimson Dawn]] and switched to a model of building a custom art piece each canvas. On c43 they built Vader's Castle.

Throughout the canvas Selio also placed a significant amount for teal YOIB.

Without a doubt the biggest event on this canvas was the [[C43 War]] between [[League of Factions|LOF]] and [[2ch]]. It comprised of many battles all over the canvas. 2ch was also occasionally joined by other factions. It resulted in [[Pride Faction]], Winter Starlight, and Harry Potter Pxls being destroyed, but also a peace brokered between LOF and 2ch that lasted for a couple canvases. Selio led several operations to defend LOF factions, and helped with others.

On c43a [[Crimson Dawn]] made a small art, but Selio primarily placed for [[YOIB]] this canvas. They also suggested/[[defiddled]] a few arts for YOIB.

[[Crimson Dawn]] created a piece based off the Siege of Mandalore and Selio helped manage the [[LOF]] safezone.

They additionally placed for YOIB and 2ch (-as part of a CD fiddle abuse raid, and repayment to 2ch.)

During c44 [[Crimson Dawn]] ran into a situation where [[2ch]] was considering raiding the faction's art. (Read more about it on the faction page.) This resulted in several very tense days where the LOF-2ch piece was almost broken. Crimson Dawn and the LOF managed to broker an agreement with 2ch, partially thanks to Selio and [[Pogtato|Pogtato's]] [[YOIB]] membership. It involved Crimson Dawn members placing for 2ch to repay for damages.

On c45 [[Crimson Dawn]] created Embo and a lattice. This was also the last canvas the faction was active on.

Selio also participated in the [[First Siege of Trollge]] and [[Second Siege of Trollge]]. They placed a bit for [[YOIB]] this canvas as well, but way less than the last couple canvases.

Selio placed for [[YOIB]], [[Legion]], and a few pixels for [[Pixelstuck]]. They mainly placed the color orange this canvas, with a small amount of medium grey.

Selio did not have any personal art on c46 and instead spent most of the canvas focused on the [[Second 2ch–LOF War]] (good read). They also placed a bit for [[YOIB]] and [[Legion VOL "Apollo Gloria"|Legion]]. Selio slowed down on placing for YOIB around this point due to a variety of reasons.

The war was triggered by [[Mikarific]]'s comments about Russian culture not being great. The second LOF 2ch war was long and grueling, comprised of many battles lasting all canvas. Selio placed for [[Pride Faction]] and the [[League of Factions|LOF]] and led a couple phases of LOF's operations during the war. The war ended with a [[2ch]] victory in most territories. Both 2ch and LOF gained a significant amount of power during the war, which was much larger than the first. The two main theaters can be seen below.

This canvas, Selio created a new faction called [[The Lambda Complex]] to make Half Life art. It made a Gordon Freeman and a head crab in the top of the canvas. Hazard contributed a lot of pixels to this template, much like the Darth Nihilus from long before.

They also participated in the [[Corner War]] this canvas, which ended with the [[Nuke of 2ch (Canvas 47)|2ch nuke]]. Selio then participated in [[League of Factions|LOF]] training exercises to prepare for any potential future action, and helped a bit with [[Pride Faction]] and the LOF Safezone. They also helped a couple YOIB operations.

After checking the Pxls Discord ever but slowly more during the beginning of 2024, Selio started chatting in the Pxls Discord again after the [[Mikarific]] situation caught their attention. After it was over, Selio reminisced about past experiences on Pxls and desired to return, acting as a catalyst for renewed interest.

On c80, Selio started placing again- mainly in stacks- for [[Green Lattice]]. They also got a name change on the site. Meanwhile they started rejoining some Pxls factions servers and becoming active in those again as well.

This canvas Selio brought back the Lambda Complex as [[Black Mesa]] and placed a substantial amount of pixels. Selio placed over 30k on c81, more than any canvas before. They started re-establishing diplomatic relationships with Pxls factions and catching up on what they had missed in the previous couple years.

Aside from [[Black Mesa]], Selio had a canvas long crusade against [[fiddle abuse]]. Many different instances of fiddle abuse were either wiped or defiddled. Due to this, the final canvas is devoid of any fiddle abuse. The Black Mesa template itself expanded to cover three medium size fiddle abuses. The Nihilanth (top left) was assisted by members of [[Chromatic Empire|The Chromatic Empire]] in exchange for Selio helping out with their lattice. A couple images of other raids are below.

This Canvas Selio brought over (along with the help of [[pogtato]]) the faction [[Ember Empire]], which was the largest faction on the [[Stem Place (Pxls Clone)|Stem Place Pxls Clone]]. It did have an operation on the previous canvas, but the server was still being restructured. Selio and other members had initially planned to bring the faction to Pxls around [[c46]], but [[2ch]]-- and later-- life events, got in the way. This canvas Ember Empire built a faction ad on the canvas before fully starting. After it was complete Selio helped [[Legion VOL "Apollo Gloria"|Legion]] finish their template.

On this canvas they brought back [[Bag Faction]] along with a new combo template to easily make bags. Selio spent the majority of the canvas making bags, attempting to set a new record for number of bags present on a canvas.

Selio was not able to create their own art before the canvas began so they began the canvas by placing for [[Legion VOL "Apollo Gloria"|Legion]]. After the main art was complete, they started making Legion's lattice.

Halfway through the canvas [[The Ember Empire]] began a raid on an abandoned [[fiddled]] artwork made by [[dema]] and co.

By the time Ember finished there was still a few days left of the canvas, so Selio placed for [[ManePxls]] for the rest of the canvas.

When reset was announced, Selio rushed to get together a template for [[The Ember Empire|Ember Empire]]. They went with a pink theme for this canvas and it is also the first instance of Ember doing the colored background. Selio also sent the Leviathan art to [[Legion VOL "Apollo Gloria"|Legion]] which they ended up using on this canvas. A couple days into the canvas Selio proposed a collab between ManePxls and Ember so that Mane would have more presence on the canvas. (They scrapped most of their plans for the canvas during the chaos of reset.) Part of the Ember template was replaced with a Pinkie Pie collab.

Selio placed for Ember Empire most of the canvas. When the template was nearly complete, Ember conducted a raid on a [[fiddled]] Jerma in Green Lattice territory. After all of Ember's templates were done, Selio helped Legion finish up. After that, they placed for [[VGA]]/[[osu!]]'s background. When that was also done, Selio created a small pixel farm that they used for the rest of the canvas. They also joined {:}, a faction of 12 fast placers that occasionally builds things.

=== [[Canvas 85]] ===
Selio designed the canvas for C85. Prior to the canvas starting, Selio was approached by [[Sohiimfine]] about claiming their factions templates together. This turned into the [[r4nd0m]] alliance, comprised of [[FURU Pxls|FURU]], [[The Ember Empire]], [[Lunes]], [[Charlie Zone]], and [[Fisk]] at its inception. Selio prepared a r4nd0m combo template in the event of the leaf canvas being picked, so reset went very smoothly. Ember had a teal theme this canvas and a goal of beating their largest template size from the Stem Place Pxls clone. The starting template was larger than any of Selio's initial templates for any faction (~80k pixels). This canvas was largely inconsequential in terms of events. Ember's solid teal background was made the r4nd0m background as well, allowing Ember to keep expanding. Ember's final template size was a staggering 176,394 pixels, beating the largest template size they had achieved on [[Stem Place (Pxls Clone)|Stem Place]].

=== [[Canvas 86]] ===
On this canvas, [[FURU Pxls|FURU]] and [[Ember]] set up a collab together. [[Sohiimfine]] defiddled the main art piece and the background color maroon was chosen. Selio once again claimed for [[r4nd0m]]. Due to the canvas' strange shape, none of the 4 prepared arrangements worked, so Selio worked tirelessly for a fews hours to finalize an arrangement and fix claim conflicts. Miraculously no arts were cut, though the collab art was slightly overlapped with [[Charlie Zone]].

Things went smoothly for a few weeks, and then Sohi initiated a raid on Place Trees (north of ember). Selio did not want to involve Ember in the flame template, though Selio themself was eventually tempted to help complete the flames. Ember started an operation to build an oni mask over an expansion area of Place Trees that Selio did not like. It completely very quickly, and negotiations begun about reverting the flame raid. The main Place Trees template was restored and a new border was established to contain their freehand art expansion.

Next, Ember raided a duplicated art from the previous canvas, establishing the "EE2" colony, which was apple themed. During this canvas there had been constant discussions about raiding the GRID. This was due to its extremely slow speed and disliked concept. Eventually Ember launched a raid on it with a flying skull art. The template was handily completed and Selio gave advice to the GRID on how to avoid a similar situation in the future.

Next, an operation was launched to cover a sexual fiddled art made by Bobbybobby in [[Neuro-sama's Swarm|Swarm]] territory. A chef cat was placed on top with no resistance.

The rest of the canvas was relatively calm, with two other abandoned fiddle abuse arts near the main template getting covered.

Once again, the final Ember Empire template beat the previous size record. Maroon was the third most placed color on the canvas, only behind white and black. Additionally Selio achieved the milestone of 50k canvas pixels for the first time.

=== [[Canvas 87]] ===
For this canvas, [[Ember]] picked the color Navy. It was decided to have a smaller starting template because of the chaos during the previous reset. Selio claimed for [[r4nd0m]] again, which went perfectly because the canvas turned out to be a 3 million pixel rectangle. The copious amounts of free space caused Selio to find more art to claim in nearby spots, including a second full defiddle. This canvas Selio made 2 defiddles for Ember instead of the typical 1; Ember-San and maid cat boy Shoto (VTuber). Selio was part of the {:} (Pincus) ego collab of c87, and helped build it.

This canvas was long, but free of a lot of Ember related drama. The only special operation they had was to cover one of their own arts, because it was built before on a previous canvas. Midway through the canvas Ember prevented Reiss' Nyan Cat rainbow from passing through Ember's core territory.

A couple days later Selio participated in the [[Cell War (C87)|Cell Lattice raid]], which was initiated by Sohi and [[Pincus|{:}]], with [[Neuro-sama's Swarm|Swarm]] later joining in.

At this point, Ember still had a lot of background to cover, so Selio focused on that for the rest of the canvas. There were discussions about raiding Bobbybobby's latest fiddled art, but ultimately nothing happened.

Ember beat the previous canvas' template size by 40k pixels, totaling in at 223k pixels. Navy was the most placed color on this canvas, at 415k pixels of navy, and nearly 150k more than second place. Selio also reached 64k canvas pixels, a number which will likely be their all-time best canvas pixel count.

=== [[Canvas 88]] ===
Because of the long stretches without action on c87, Selio decided to make [[Ember]]'s starting template very small with the aspirations of doing more raids, colonies, and special operations for more fun. Ember chose to use Forest as the background color and [[Sohiimfine]] claimed for [[r4nd0m]] this canvas.

Early on, Bobbybobby was called out for his latest sexualized pixel art and subsequently disappeared from the canvas. 8 days into the canvas, Selio, [[TheMatsValk]], and TheFallenAngel started a 2 piece raid on this art. It was the start of Ember Empire's first colony, but since the bottom art was not defiddled yet, an official operation didn't begin. The top art completed in about a day. A week later, Selio finished the defiddle on the bottom and the Ember Raid template was posted. It pulled in even more users who helped finish the 10k art in about a day.

After this, another round of expansions were posted for the main template. Plans also began to expand the colony to the left and include a text label. Plans for another rock art were scrapped when a Philippines area was built in the open space. The backup plan involved building a plant cat instead. However this would cover user Wisteria's cat art. The raid plans were okayed and an operation to complete the first colony started. This caused a minor diplomatic crises when Swarm became involved and the cat was revealed to be Wisteria's ego and personal depiction. After some discussion it was moved to within [[Neuro-sama's Swarm|Swarm]] territory.

Another week later a second ember colony started over what was a large abandoned rectangle claim. Another rock was put there.

After this, Selio begun a solo mission to destroy some fiddled arts on the canvas, taking advantage of Ember's good template speed. Selio covered a fiddled gem in [[Cell Lattice]], a flag near [[ManePxls|Mane]] and Ember (alongside a few other users), and some fiddled art by a new user below [[Cirno Embassy]] (which was eventually defiddled by another user).

Then Ember had a third colony which put text in the bottom row of the empty [[GRID]] and put a trolley bus below it, poking fun at the [[c86]] raid and continued emptiness of the GRID. The trolley bus was previously built by [[YOIB]] on [[c42]] and by Ember on [[Stem Place (Pxls Clone)|Stem Place]]. The third colony was almost entirely built by Selio since it didn't have a dedicated operation phase in Ember.

The Ember Empire's main template soon finished and Selio spent their remaining pixels on a couple miscellaneous templates, but not much else happened.

=== [[Canvas 88a]] ===
Several factions had been preparing for a large collab on [[c89]] nicknamed the [[purp13]] collab. The main members of which were [[The Ember Empire]], [[The Purple Empire]], [[Gura's Supermarket]], [[Kitty Pxls]], [[Darkhood]], and [[FURU]]. They arranged small art for the upcoming April Fools canvas and agreed to work together on it as well. It turned out to be a fairly large homage to the cloud canvas ([[c35]]), so more art was added like a big dragon. As a reference to [[YOIB]] on c35, purp13 also went with a pastel yellow background and theme.

Due to happenstance, several factions ended up in similar positions as c35 and Selio wanted to intentionally create more. For example, encouraging [[osu!]] to adopt Legion's lattice and encouraging [[Neuro-sama's Swarm|Swarm]] to adopt a pink lattice, to recreate the Pink/Legion/Yellow split from c35.

For the first day or two, purp13 had the fastest template going around 1k pixels per hour.

[[Legion VOL "Apollo Gloria"|Legion]] reappeared on this canvas with the goal of [[Legion invasion of Canvas 88a|taking it over]], like they [[Legion invasions of Canvas 43a|had done]] on [[c43a]]. Legion diplomats revealed they had initially planned to attack purp13, along with the right side of the canvas, but due to past faction alliances and Selio's work with Legion, they offered purp13 the opportunity to be an ally in the war and the guarantee they would not be touched. Selio was eager to join and relive the days of c43a. Other member faction leaders were interested as well. purp13 accepted the deal.

The next day Legion launched an attack on Swarm. purp13 also joined in and Legion's lattice gained territory for a few hours, but Swarm called in reinforcements that handily pushed back the offensive line. purp13's template activity was largely fractured for the rest of the canvas due to this, with a couple more all out offensive pushes and pings. Towards the end, they also colonized a mostly empty raindrop with some extra art.

Selio was not heavily involved with templating on this canvas, and instead focused on placing and diplomacy work.

=== [[Canvas 89]] ===
During this canvas, the [[purp13]] collab would happen proper. The theme was dark purple, with a solid background. Before the canvas, Selio had reduced a gif of green [[Filipus098|Filipus]] using [[Clueless]] as a joke, and [[Lana]] decided to adapt it as a template for her faction [[Lake Fairy Crew]]. It was added to the purp13 claim template. The rest of the [[r4nd0m]] member factions were also added to the claim template, though not directly part of the main collab. Both main collab arts were unfinished at the start of the canvas, which help lead to a couple claim problems.

A few days into the canvas, Selio was added as a Pxls Trail Moderator.

Not much happened during the middle of the canvas. Selio placed the purple haired girl taken from YOAB, and then random parts of the rest of the template. It became evident the collab template was an overclaim, as the template ETA crawled past reset ETA. After the trail mod phase ended, Selio became a full Pxls [[Pxls staff|Moderator]].

Eventually purp13 sped up and neared completion. Selio fought a few small arts. The collab [[defiddle]] was finally completed a day before reset and so the template finished as well. After that, Selio completely covered the grid with dark purple on their own. It was 2x2 tiles this canvas rather than the typical 5x5. Shortly afterwards, there was a push aided by Pxls chat that rebuilt the grid and expanded it even more. The grid faced other griefs for the remainder of the canvas (about 13 hours), though Selio had stopped placing on the canvas by then (to stop at the round number 27k canvas).

The final purp13 template was 428,554 pixels, breaking the record of largest [[Ember]] template. Dark purple was also the most placed color behind black and white. As with [[c88a]], Selio did not do much template work on c89, which served as a much needed break from the constant templating during the past several months.

=== [[Canvas 90]] ===
A few days before the canvas, Selio approached [[Zephyr]] about a collab between [[The Ember Empire]] and [[Void]]. It would be called "The Ember Void" collab.

Selio designed the canvas (which was a brick) and also palletized the art [[Legion]] used this canvas.

About 18 hours after reset, [[Antde]] and [[notEnough]] started placing an art of Masyunya (a cat character from a VK sticker pack) above part of the EmberVoid template with help from [[Schizophrenia]] members. Upon waking up, Selio mobilized a dozen users to defend EmberVoid. Selio asked why they were attacking and the reason was a retaliatory attack against [[Iceydwagon]] (Zephyr) for griefing Antde's outline at the start of the previous canvas. EmberVoid had the advantage for a while, and the sudden need for fast placement actually increased template speed. Negotiations started to try and end the conflict. It was ill timed for Selio and they did not want to engage in a long war. The first resolution was removing the Void logo from the template and ending the official collaboration. This was done at the start of the third day of the canvas, turning The Ember Void into Ember Empire black.

A few days later, Iceydwagon apologized for the griefs on the previous canvas, and the Void logo was allowed to be rebuilt without conflict. In under a week, The Ember Void had returned.

Selio kept placing EmberVoid. They also built the tummy of [[osu!]]'s Flayon art. Nearing the end of the canvas, Ember had an operation to cover some fiddled text with a rock. By then, EmberVoid had spread all the way up to Legion. The template finished a bit early after a brief border scuffle with [[Swarm]]. There was no more opportunity for expansion.

With the last few days, Selio destroyed some art made by a user called Friitz and made a few [[bags]]. They also made an impromptu 500k [[ego]] in [[GL]] using a green bag as the ego art.

=== [[Canvas 91]] ===
This canvas, Selio arranged a collab between [[The Ember Empire|Ember Empire]] and [[Grayscale Pxls]] called "The Gayscale Empire." Selio and [[Sohiimfine]] designed the collab logo and Selio made the pride flag gay hug [[Defiddled|defiddle]] for the starting template. Most of the art was given pride flag outlines.

First 10 days were just placing for the collab. Then Selio gave art from the Ember reserves to [[Pincus|{:}]] (pincus) to cover a large/slow claim (the top art in the second image). Selio participated in building the art as well as the second {:} art a few days later, which covered the then outline of a [[Toon Pxls]] template.

[[Swarm]] members started attacking [[Pebble|Pebble's]] art at about this point. Selio placed a bit to help defend before the Ember canvas operation started. During this, Selio created two more defiddles, Venti from Genshin Impact, and Robin from Honkai Star Rail; both with pride flag outlines.

Ember took over the Chaotic Evil portion of [[Darkhood|Darkhood's]] alignment chart. It covered a few random things already in the spot and used a downscaled version of [[YOIB]]'s roach taste art from [[c31]]. The remaining background was :3 lattice.

When The Gayscale Empire started to become more complete, Selio started a [[fiddle abuse]] raid at the bottom of the canvas, putting a rock above it. Shortly after, another fiddle abuse raid was conducted using a furry [[defiddle]]. Ember returned to the rock location to add more arts nearby (with a third smaller fiddle abuse raid) and a larger :3 (colonthree) lattice to fill all of the empty space.

Then Ember used Sohi's Lady Gaga album text designs to farm pixels underneath his [[ego]]. They were able to get though 4 at a very rapid pace. With a bit more than a day before [[reset]], Selio turned back to defend Pebble's art before stopping at a round canvas pixel count. <gallery widths="200" heights="200">

=== Name Etymology ===
Not anticipating sticking around, Selio signed up as "someone" on both [[Stem Place (Pxls Clone)|Stem Place]] and Pxls. Since the name was taken on Pxls, they just added random text to create "someone2342t".

After a bit, Selio starting using the name "CP_Pixels." It was derived from "Crafter Productions," which was the name of a YouTube channel they ran until the end of 2019. That itself was derived from "FireCrafter" which was the username Selio came up with for Minecraft as a young child.

In early 2021, they began looking for a new name due to having a bad acronym. They came up with "Selisoweli," meaning "fire animal" in the colang Toki Pona. [[Cazy_Man]] suggested shortening it to "Selio." Soon after they took it on as their Discord name. Despite this, Selio was still "CP_Pixels" on the Pxls site until May 2024 when they finally asked for a name change.

Though somewhat slowed by the defenders, the raiders progressed at a steady pace on the first two days of the war. The raider's attack force was somewhat split as a result of Sohiimfine and several others switching to help RunePxls for the rest of the conflict. As fighting progressed, unaffiliated volunteers joined both sides of the conflict, but mainly the attackers. By the 18th, defense of Snowgrave had largely collapsed. Distance made a new template over Snowgrave remains that conflicted with RunePxls. Rose Khanate placers pulled away from the war to focus on other areas of the canvas, and the other defenders withdrew from the wider Snowgrave art to focus on Slim Fiddle's enclave. RunePxls initially failed to take over Slim Fiddle, and Slim Fiddle was fully completed. Simultaneously, [[The Purple Empire]] began expanding their lattice into abandoned parts of Snowgrave.

The main Ember-led Raid art finished in 4 days. Most of the raiders moved on their own volition to help RunePxls and quickly overpowered Slim Fiddle defenders. Distance's secondary template was abandoned. Firenze's art finished less than a day after the larger raid art.
