France Pxls was a faction created during late Canvas 29. It was created when leader Chinpachi realized that no French faction was created yet. It builds French related art on Canvas and is currently led by him.

History
Chinpachi leadership
Canvas 29
First active canvas of French Pxls, with the purpose of protecting the two little French islands that were being attacked. France built two little projects:

*French Boat and French IslandFrench Boat and French Island
*Baguette on French Flag

Canvas 30
During this canvas, France Pxls allied with the faction called "Bourgeoisie". During this canvas they built a flag together. France Pxls also built a French Map Art, hot air balloon and a baguette Nyan Cat.

Canvas 31
On this canvas some small arts were made, notably the Eiffel tower, which had its flag turned into a belgian one shortly before the reset.

Canvas 32
On c32 a large french flags with several frogs on it was made alongside with a hot air baloon in french colors and a red-blue lattice

Canvas 33
On c33 a chicken in a suit on a french-colored shield was created. This was the only art officially made, however a french heart was placed on the long bulgarian flag.

Canvas 34
Canvas 34 was an important one for France, as it got it involved in the First War Against Legion, which resulted in it losing the main art, a french soldier in a WW1-style uniform. The rest of the time was spent on plotting a second attack, which never came to be.

Canvas 35
C35 was a tight one, and so the first art was a small french map. Soon, however, user themann created an art piece of the french composers Ravel and Debussy, which was placed on one of the raindrops.

Canvas 36
Canvas 36 continued themann's art creation with the Arc of Triumph, later followed by a stylized french flag, a croissant and some frogs. France later helped defend Coffin Gang's art from YOIB. User tam tried to get people to join Flag Incursion, however that wasn't achieved.

Canvas 37
A large Gaspard de la nuit (a french suite written by Ravel) themed art was made. After its completion, the userbase split into 2 groups - those who supported tam's griefing of eliasville and MC pixels, led by tam, and those who did not - led by themann, the main artist. At this point the owner, Chinpachi, decided to leave pxls after a while, eventually settling on ioanBG as his sucsessor.

Canvas 38 (initial)
Canvas 38 saw a decline of activity in the faction and template, eventually leading to Chinpachi's quitting of pxls and his transfer of ownership to ioanBG. The art on this canvas was Marianne waving a flag.

ioanBG leadership
Canvas 38
Almost immediately after ioanBG came to power, the Vaktovian Campaign happened. In it, France Pxls was griefed several times, but, with Antde's help, managed to resist. The art was quickly completed and some changes were made, mostly the addition of the BASED and Roi (king) roles and the addition of diplomacy, templates and rules channels.

Canvas 39
Canvas 39 was one of the smallest canvases yet. Despite this, France managed to claim an area for its 8k project. A different project, comprised of arts from previous canvases was planned, but shortly before the reset the owner, ioanBG scrapped it for a pixel art of the Notre Dame de Paris that he most definetly didn't steal from google images. It was one of the most active canvases for France yet.

Canvas 40
Canvas 40 started out with the king, ioanBG wanting to make a french chungus (an image of Big Chungus holding a baguette and a bottle of wine) and the server participants wanting an art of hapoleon (the mascot of the french site JeuxVideo.com). Ioan had originally posted a poll that favored hapoleon by a factor of 4:2 (original results: chungus: 2, hapoleon: 8). After much complaints, the art was changed and ioan completed almost 90% of it.Later on the 2ch Incursion happened. The french art was directly next to the american flag that had been attacked. On the 12th of September user GrayTurtles reported the grief. Initially France was only helped by 2 users, however as time passed by, 2ch users started to leave. Later on, high-ranking officials on 2ch's side and ioanBG on the french one came to the agreement that 1. France Pxls will not be attacked again and 2. France Pxls should try to cooperate with 2ch. Even though Ioan liked 2ch, he decided not to intervene much, as his members would probably revolt. On the 12th of september user GrayTurtles reported an attack on Hapoleon, that turned out to be 2ch attempting to make a yoba over it. At first, the battle seemed like an easy win for 2ch, however France kept on resisting. At the end, most of the 2ch users had left. Later on, Ioan and high-ranking 2ch officials signed a peace treaty that contained the following: 1. 2ch will not attack France in the future and 2. France won't attack 2ch and would try to cooperate with them. The rest of c40 passed on without much trouble, with the server becoming less active and losing one of its prime members and defenders, Gohavefun2222. <br />

Canvas 41
On this canvas France Pxls built an art of Isabelle from Animal Crossing next to a guillotine. Later on the art piece was altered to look a bit more french - a french flag was made as the background and a :hap: was added, although it was griefed later. There were plans for a lattice, however none were actually started.

Canvas 42
On c42 a pixel art of Charles de Gaulle was made, followed by a hap. Not a lot of other stuff to say heh.

Canvas 44
Canvas 44 was the last canvas France Pxls participated in before the return of Chinpachi. By this point, the faction had largely gone inactive and the only person working on it was IoanBG, its leader. The first project was a discord screenshot of Chinpachi with the :hap: emote and the date 20/07/2020, on which he left pxls, along with an ego and a message saying "Come back!" underneath it. Later on, user Joseph suggested a Fleur de lys art, which was edited and placed by ioanBG with help from HotSauceBear.
Later on, Ioan and high-ranking 2ch officials signed a peace treaty that contained the following: 1. 2ch will not attack France in the future and 2. France won't attack 2ch and would try to cooperate with them.

A different project, comprised of arts from previous canvases was planned, but shortly before the reset the owner, ioanBG scrapped it for a pixel art of the Notre Dame de Paris that he most definately didn't steal from google images. It was one of the most active canvases for France yet.

Canvas 40
Canvas 40 started out with the king, ioanBG wanting to make a french chungus (an image of Big Chungus holding a baguette and a bottle of wine) and the server participants wanting an art of hapoleon (the mascot of the french site JeuxVideo.com). Ioan had originally posted a poll that favored hapoleon by a factor of 4:2 (original results: chungus: 2, hapoleon: 8). After much complaints, the art was changed and ioan completed almost 90% of it.Later on the 2ch Incursion happened. The french art was directly next to the american flag that had been attacked. On the 12th of September user GrayTurtles reported the grief. Initially France was only helped by 2 users, however as time passed by, 2ch users started to leave. Later on, high-ranking officials on 2ch's side and ioanBG on the french one came to the agreement that 1. France Pxls will not be attacked again and 2. France Pxls should try to cooperate with 2ch. Even though Ioan liked 2ch, he decided not to intervene much, as his members would probably revolt.On the 12th of september user GrayTurtles reported an attack on Hapoleon, that turned out to be 2ch attempting to make a yoba over it. Yellow Box|image1=YellowCorner2Flag.png|caption1=Flag used as a symbol of the Yellow Corner}}

The Piss Republic, also unofficially but widely referred to as the Piss Corner, Pissland or Yellow Corner was a pseudofaction on Canvas 41. In this article, it will be referred to as the Yellow Corner, as ioanBG claimed it was a successor state of the Canvas 39 Yellow Corner, and because its legal name may cause controversy.

Background and creation
The bottom-right parts of any canvas, especially the ones with well-defined corners have always been an active zone of conflict if not covered by art, especially because of people wishing to revive the legacy of the Blue Corner of r/place, either by claiming they are continuing it, or by making their own spinoffs. On canvas 41, there were defined corners and soon the strip between the right side of the canvas and Changed Pxls's art became the battleground of several attempts at creating a plain corner, of which notable are the purple and blue pseudofactions, with the purple one managing to hold around 100-200px at the corner itself. However, the yellow group by the name of Yellow Box managed to hold about 1000 pixels before being overran by blue forces and toofu's fractals, with swffl creating a small trollface over the mess. There was an unsuccessful attempt to remove the fractals, which resulted in them being filled in completely, thus effectively destroying the Yellow Box.

History
In this environment, ioanBG decided to "clean up this mess" and restore the Yellow Corner of c39. Knowing toofu was an active placer, he decided not to attempt an invasion of the fractals, which by this point had covered most of the actual corner and had spread out, instead choosing to simply block their expansion. The remaining non-fractalised parts of the Yellow Box were cleaned of stray pixels, and a mauve text reading "Piss" was made, which remained as a symbol of the faction. The yellow was expanded northward, mostly respecting already placed pixels and backgrounds.

Green Corner Invasion
On the 21st of October a small force operating as the Green Corner attacked the fractals and the Yellow Corner and later started expanding from its northernmost areas. Their forces were quickly crushed despite only facing ioanBG, and they established themselves in the inner triangles of the fractals. Later, an attempt by another group to establish a purple corner was stopped, and during negotiations they were given several other triangles.

This state of balance, with different colours located in different triangles, with the corner pixel itself being made pastel yellow, and the fractals serving as a border between the other colours and the Yellow Corner was protected by ioanBG, as it allowed him to guard attempts at creating another corner faction without it spilling onto the YC itself. This policy of policing the fractals remained in place until the Second Fractal Aggression, after which the previous coloured triangles and the fractals were destroyed by other forces, and ioanBG felt he could protect YC without buffer states.

First Fractal Aggression
During the Green Corner raid toofu had connected his fractals at the expense of YC, which was reverted by ioanBG along with other damage done during the raid, expecting that toofu wouldn't waste his time fixing the damage. However, toofu went on to attempt to reconnect the fractals in several-hour long 1v1s, mostly ending up with his gains being reversed, to the extent that the Yellow Corner ended up expanding southward all the way to the bottom. However, the fighting continued, and one night, not long after ioanBG had gone inactive, toofu had renewed his expansion, and without any resistance managed to inflict heavy damage on the Yellow Corner. Fortunately for ioanBG, he stopped and effectively left canvas activities, allowing ioanBG to rebuild and expand the corner.

Expansion and post-FFA recovery
In between the many brief raids, the Yellow Corner had expanded northwards, largely between a line of grey pixels placed by Epic and Change Pxls's art, without it actually touching the canvas's edges as far north as Xscape's ego near PokePxls. There was also a wide range of destruction caused by toofu's fractals, which ioanBG sought to remove, with the exception of the triangles owned by the Green and Purple corners, who ioanBG attempted to take, but through the complaints of the Purple Corner's creator decided not to, as he did not want another enemy. Taking the fractals and filling in the remaining space would almost double the size of the Yellow Corner, however it would take several days before most had been finished. A fairly disorganised area was left for pink0crusader, the de jure leader of the Piss Republic, to cover, as a measure to prevent him from expanding further north, which would've created problems with PokePxls after an agreement between them and ioanBG to halt expansion and leave space for a lattice. This left the YC with around 7000 pixels, covering most of the area east of ChangedPxls and south of the incomplete Pulp Fiction art.

Pxlsfiddle records show an attempted return of the fractals, however it is not certain if that was a returned toofu. What is known is that during this brief attack, Youj made a polish and ukrainian flag at the bottom left of the YC territory, later denying it being intentional and claiming he "did not know it was ioanBG's area".

Second Fractal Aggression
On the 30th of October toofu returned again, this time not expanding the remains of his old fractals, but instead overriding them with blue. ioanBG's attempts to gather support against him through chat backfired, with Chalkless hopping on to aid toofu. The raid was ill-timed for ioanBG, as it was started late in the evening, meaning he would have to place during the night. Not long after the start, Chalkless withdrew, meaning a several-hour long 1v1 commenced, lasting until around 7am for both sides, which ioanBG ultimately won, removing the last traces of fractals and different-coloured corners, along with Youj's flag.

Following that, no major expansion or conflict happened in the span of the next 10 days, as there had been a border agreement between ioanBG and PokePxls stopping the former's northward expansion. There were numerous smaller-scale griefs, but most involved less than one person and ended shortly.

The Great Battle
On the 9th of November there was an attempt to make another blue corner. This was not viewed as a real threat, however soon DysKorD69 started making an italian flag. After attempted diplomacy by ioanBG, DysKorD was joined by several other chat members. In this unfortunate situation Bezimienny decided to make a bag on the Yellow Corner, saying it was only to "annoy shadow_z_az", the original creator of the C39 Yellow Corner, despite the latter having no involvement in this Yellow Corner. Adding to the confusion were the actions of pink0crusader, the nominal Piss President, who authorised DysKorD69's flag and ego. His orders were ignored by ioanBG, who managed to defeat the chat forces. During this most unfortunate of situations, Youj had again constructed a lattice in the bottom-left of the YC, yet again claiming he did not know it was ioanBG, and threatening to "take actions" against the YC if it attempted to do anything to it. He was ignored and the damage from the blue corner and chat forces was fixed, leaving the lattice and the bag. The next day the latter was retaken piece by piece, without any actions being taken against the Corner, and the bag was quickly overran several days later, without any resistance.

Post-Great Battle
Following these intense events was a period which again had no major expansions or conflicts. From the conflicts that did happen is notable the raid by several alt-accounts, during which ioanBG decided to ask the remaining server members of the original Yellow Corner for assistance, which he did, making this possibly the only battle of the Corner's history in which he was not fighting alone.

There were slight border changes in the north, with Xscape's art being moved north in exchange for the Yellow Corner taking some areas north of the original straight-line border. At the end, the Yellow Corner controlled around 7200 pixels. At the very end of the canvas, swffl attempted to cover the cornermost pixel in blue, which ultimately failed just seconds before the canvas reset.

Non-corner actions
As mentioned before, the proto-faction's name was not the Yellow Corner, as it is referred to here, but instead the Piss Republic, not limiting it to only the bottom-right corner. The most notable was the Colony of Pissland, which was a sign displaying the text "pissland" in 3x5 letters, established during the post-FFA recovery. It was not attacked or threatened during its entire existance until the end of the canvas.

There were also several attempts to occupy the top-left corner. The first one, started 16 days in against the blue forces there, however it was deemed that it would be too much of a distraction from what seemed to be the most important issue, which was the covering of the fractals in the post-FFA recovery. Nevertheless, a territory of around 100-200px was held for several hours. Two days later a triangle with 5px sides measured from the corner was taken and bordered from Sidestep's lattice, which had achieved success against the blue forces. The triangle was protected until the Second Fractal Aggression, amidst which it was taken by the Sidestep lattice. The last involvement in the northwest was 32 days in, against a missing texture pattern. It lasted shortly as it was covered by PirateOfDiamonds's Bag, which ioanBG tried and failed to remove.

The Piss Republic, also unofficially but widely referred to as the Piss Corner, Pissland or Yellow Corner was a proto-faction on Canvas 41.

On canvas 41, there were defined corners and soon the strip between the right side of the canvas and Changed Pxls's art became the battleground of several attempts at creating a plain corner, of which notable are the purple and blue pro-factions, with the purple one managing to hold around 100-200px at the corner itself.

The Piss Republic, also unofficially but widely referred to as the Piss Corner, Pissland or Yellow Corner was a proto-faction on Canvas 41.

On canvas 41, there were defined corners and soon the strip between the right side of the canvas and Changed Pxls's art became the battleground of several attempts at creating a plain corner, of which notable are the purple and blue pro-factions, with the purple one managing to hold around 100-200px at the corner itself.

The day the Green Corner raid's damage was fixed was when toofu decided to expand his fractals into YC. What is known is that during this brief attack, Youj made a polish and ukrainian flag at the bottom left of the YC territory, later denying it being intentional and claiming he "did not know it was ioanBG's area".

The Piss Republic, also unofficially but widely referred to as the Piss Corner, Pissland or Yellow Corner was a proto-faction on Canvas 41.

On canvas 41, there were defined corners and soon the strip between the right side of the canvas and Changed Pxls's art became the battleground of several attempts at creating a plain corner, of which notable are the purple and blue pro-factions, with the purple one managing to hold around 100-200px at the corner itself.

The day the Green Corner raid's damage was fixed was when toofu decided to expand his fractals into YC. After a several-hour long 1v1, ioanBG managed to reverse his gains in the first half of the conflic, going as far as pushing south to the bottom of the canvas, expecting that toofu wouldn't waste his time fixing the damage. However, not long after he had gone inactive, toofu had renewed his expansion, and without any resistance managed to inflict heavy damage on the Yellow Corner.

The following morning, the latter was removed, and Youj's lattice was retaken piece by piece, without any actions being taken by him.

The Yellow Corner, also unofficially but widely referred to as the Piss Corner or Yellow Corner was a proto-faction on Canvas 41.

On canvas 41, there were defined corners and soon the strip between the right side of the canvas and Changed Pxls's art became the battleground of several attempts at creating a plain corner, of which notable are the purple and blue pro-factions, with the purple one managing to hold around 100-200px at the corner itself.

This state of balance, with different colours located in different triangles, with the corner itself not belonging to one, but instead to the fractals, that also served as a border between the other colours and the Yellow Corner was protected by ioanBG, as it allowed him to guard attempts at creating another corner faction without it spilling onto the YC itself. This policy of policing the fractals remained in place until the Second Fractal Aggression, after which the previous coloured triangles and the fractals were destroyed by other forces, and ioanBG felt he could protect YC without buffer states.

First Fractal Aggression
The day the Green Corner raid's damage was fixed was when toofu decided to expand his fractals into YC. After a several-hour long 1v1, ioanBG managed to reverse his gains in the first half of the conflic, going as far as pushing south to the bottom of the canvas, expecting that toofu wouldn't waste his time fixing the damage. However, not long after he had gone inactive, toofu had renewed his expansion, and without any resistance managed to inflict heavy damage on the Yellow Corner.

This left the YC with around 8000 pixels, covering most of the area east of ChangedPxls and south of the incomplete Pulp Fiction art.

Pee Gang, the target of the invasion, was unable to put up serious resistance. Ultimately, the two factions formed a truce and later an alliance.

Background
Pee Gang
Not much is known about Pee Gang, other than the fact it was a small and new faction, largely considered to be immature, that had participated in several unprovoked raids on other people.

NBGM
The Navy Blue Grand Monarchy had been revived several canvases prior but had largely stayed as a small faction with a small ammount of placers. Despite this, it had managed to expand around Veil's art and had made an art of one of its early iconic emotes, buddy. Many of its members had expressed their desires to conquer Pee Gang's territories, some because of expansionist ideas and some because they considered them too immature for the site. The NBGM had investigated the faction and determined that resistance from the members would be manageable, and that noone would come to defend such a faction. Thus, it was decided that the Monarchy would attack Pee Gang on a Friday, and would do so even without a reason. In the time between the decision and the raid itself, members of the NBGM encircled Pee Gang.

Conflict
Pee Gang Agression
Several days prior to the raid, Pee Gang members raided and dotted the NBGM's artpiece, the :buddy: emote, with yellow. The grief was small and insignificant, however it made for a good justification.

NBGM Retalliation
The NBGM largely ignored the insignificant grief on :buddy: and prepared for an offensive war, calling in as many members as they could.

On the 11th of June at 1 pm EST an operation was launched with the task of placing down a blue dragon on top of Pee Gang's area, the dragon being surrounded by 4 egos, of ioanBG, IronHebo, Kanji and Ryeam, with the dragon itself being positioned over a more stylised ego of pineApple, the NBGM's Monarch. The operation was a resounding success, with the forces quickly managing to complete the dragon and the surrounding background, at one point reaching 700px/hour. In the next 2 days, its members managed to cover all of Piss Gang's previous territories.

Pee Gang Resistance
Part of the reason why the NBGM managed to rapidly conquer all lands was that the Pee Gang did not know of the raid at all until several days after it had happened. Then they launched several attempts to recover their large PEE sign, but all of them failed, and they later turned to simply griefing other people and factions.

Aftermath
NBGM Expansionism
The unexpected success of the operation invigorated the NBGM members' desire for power, and many of them now wanted to further expand their influence in their region. Soon, such an opportunity would present itself when the Anime Collab claimed a large portion of the southeastern canvas, culminating in a claim dispute and the NBGM–Anime conflict.

Pee Gang
Pee Gang was left devastated after this conflict, however it continued to launch raids against other factions until dying out. Some of their members later joined the NBGM and would take part in the Arena conflicts of canvas 49
