It is one of the larger wars in Pxls history, with the participation count reaching 200. The war began with users and factions who had grievances with [[Neuro-sama's Swarm]] forming a coalition called the [[Neuro Expulsion Corps]] with the purpose of organizing a large-scale raid against the Swarm. The initial raid was led and organized by [[Zephyr]], with help from [[Liam]], [[Lana]], [[Peyrov]], [[Pebble]], and [[Caden88]].

The initial [[Swarm War (Canvas 94)#Battle of the Boat|Battle of the Boat]] on October 11 resulted in a victory for [[Neuro-sama's Swarm]]. The retaliatory [[Swarm War (Canvas 94)#Battle of the Hot Dog|Battle of the Hot Dog]] the following day resulted in a victory for the NEC.

The raiders' template was the boat Hammer-Yang from the [[wikipedia:Metal_Slug|''Metal Slug'']] series, while the defenders template was Evil parodying the cover of [https://vocaloid.fandom.com/wiki/KING KING]. The NEC launched their attack at 1 PM EST on October 11, 2025. Due to the large size of both forces, the online user count rose quite noticeably. The raid peaked at 24% completion, and after 6.5 hours of fighting, was repulsed.

The '''Battle of the Hot Dog''', also known as '''The Weiner War''', was Swarm's retaliatory grief against the NEC. The Swarm began their attack at noon EST the day following the Battle of the Boat. The raid template was a grayscale and ironically fiddle abused version of Charlie Zone's artwork, with the words "I love Neuro-sama" superimposed over it. The raid peaked at ~5.9% completion, and after 3 hours of fighting, was repulsed. The hot dog was finished shortly after.

The '''HP Logo War''' was a series of clashes, followed by a final confrontation, over Lukidot's solo art, which depicted a logo of the American company HP. Following the Battle of the Boat, [[Neuro-sama's Swarm]] members made several attempts to grief the logo, which were successfully defended. On 2025-10-19, 16:00 EST, Swarm prepared a template replacing the "HP" logo and text with "osu!" logo and text. This template reached 100% completion around 2 hours thereafter, and was defended for an estimated additional 16 hours, before Swarm stopped the defense and initiated repairing the original.

The '''Battle of Rose Khanate''' was a series of two attempts by [[Precious Family Pixelers|PFAM]] to cover the art of the [[Rose Khanate]] on October 20 and 21. The griefs were repulsed. Though ostensibly unrelated to the Swarm War, the battle was nonetheless an extension of the wider conflict. PFAM waited until the Swarm's main artwork was completed to raid the Rose Khanate, and saw assistance from multiple members of the Swarm; defense of the artwork was likewise spearheaded by the NEC.

Lana is a veteran Pxls user and former [[Pxls_staff|moderator]] who joined on [[Canvas 2]] but did not become an active user until [[Canvas 11]]. She has been varyingly active ever since, taking several hiatuses from Pxls. She is currently the leader of the [[Rose Khanate]] and a longtime member of [[Flandre]]. Information on this era is scarce. Though Lana created her Pxls account during Canvas 2, she was not an active placer at this time, nor was she associated with any factions. She made no actions of note before leaving the site.

=== Ancient Era (Canvas 11-15)===

It was on Canvas 11 that Lana joined Pxls as an active placer and a member of the community. Due to joining at the relatively young age of 15, she gained a reputation for immaturity and edginess during this era of her placing career. She became a contributor to the [[Gray Corner]], [[Doki Doki Pxls Club]], and [[AFiP]]. During this time, Lana became friends with [[Fruity]] and [[Kori]]. These users formed two of her closest and oldest friendships, which she maintains to this day. The first war Lana participated in was the [[Anarcho-Transhumanist Invasion]] on Canvas 12, followed by the [[Schopenhauer Campaign]] on Canvas 15.

Lana's first solo artwork was a freelance project called "Project Egg", making several sprites of the Minecraft [https://minecraft.wiki/w/Egg egg] item across the canvas. While the motivation behind this project is unknown, Pxls historians have theorized that it was a subconscious reference to Lana's gender identity at the time. Project Egg continued over the next four canvases. On Canvas 12, Lana made a golden egg in the bottom right corner. On Canvas 13, she began to make more egg variations, such as in the colors of the Italian flag or Anarcho-Transhumanist flag. On Canvas 13b, Lana again made a golden egg in the bottom right corner. Though it was fully destroyed twice in the chaos of the mini-canvas, it survived to the end. Project Egg made its final appearance on Canvas 14. Feeling it was time to move on to new projects, Lana become associated with the [[Abyss]]. Lana's only other notable artwork during this era was a badly fiddled rendition of Monika from [[wikipedia:Doki_Doki_Literature_Club!|''Doki Doki Literature Club!'']].

Lana became the leader of a canvaswide conflict for the first time on Canvas 16, organizing the coalition responsible for the [[Invasion of AFiP]]. Her motivations for betraying her former faction are unknown, though given her propensity for war, it was most likely just for fun. During this conflict, Lana was temporarily canvas banned for the usage of an auto-clicker. Coming back from her ban later in the canvas, she would then be added to the Pxls staff as a moderator on October 4, 2018. Her placing activity declined afterward to focus on moderation duties.

Lana's placing activity on Canvases 17 and 18 was marked by the [[Second 2ch Invasion]]. She became a member of [[PATO]], participating in the resistance against 2ch. Lana was one of the main staff members advocating for the first [[Nuke of 2ch (Canvas 19)|Nuke of 2ch]], to the point that she would take credit for the event after it was enacted. She returned to a focus on freelance work on Canvas 19, making an artistic rendition of a kiwi from [[wikipedia:Jumping_Flash!|''Jumping Flash!'']]. This rendition was commonly referred to as "Berd". She used her moderation powers to add the Berd as an emote to the Pxls discord, which has remained to this day.

January 2019 was around the time that Lana began to question her sexuality and gender identity, internal struggles that would characterize her moderator era. Those struggles came to a head two months later. Lana's behavior grew worse, frequently lashing out at users and making offensive comments, leading to her removal from the staff team. She reacted to this by leaking internal staff information, after which she was banned from the Pxls discord. Her dramatic fall from grace prompted her to address the issues she had been grappling with, taking a sabbatical from Pxls to rethink her life and identity. This was the last canvas on which Lana went by her old username.

Pxls historians regard Lana's promotion to moderator as one of the Pxls admins' greatest mistakes. She was still a highly immature and divisive figure within the Pxls community at this time, and had turned 16 years old only three days prior. Her tenure was plagued with several incidents of mod abuse and unprofessionalism, culminating in its disgraceful end on March 15, 2019. This result is now regarded as an inevitable consequence of giving power to children. Lana's moderation scandals and other incidents like them contributed greatly to the modern day Pxls rule that all staff members must be 18 or older.

Lana's NPA commemorated their victory by making a large coat of arms in the center right of Canvas 29. Lana, a freelance artist at the time, founded the Rose Khanate on August 30, 2025. Her primary motivation was a dissatisfaction with the state of canvas politics. Flandre's involvement on Pxls was waning, creating a peaceful site culture. Large factions claimed so much of the canvas that freelance artists struggled to find space, and several works on the canvas were oversized. The Rose Khanate, as a faction founded with an explicit focus on griefing, was intended to combat these issues through war.

The Rose Khanate claimed ownership of Lana's art piece, the ''Uma Musume'' character Agnes Tachyon, and began expanding a rose-colored background out from it. The Khanate's first act of warfare was to grief [[Precious Family Pixelers]], due to perceiving their art as oversized. After the attack failed, the Khanate shifted focus to expanding its background, bringing it into [[Rose-Swarm border conflict|conflict]] with [[Neuro-sama's Swarm]]. After a week of intermittent griefing on both sides, a peace agreement and border transition between the two backgrounds was negotiated.

Beginning on the 13th, the skirmishes escalated into a large-scale invasion by Swarm into Rose territory. By the end of the day, the invasion had been repulsed, and the Khanate launched a counter-attack on the Swarm lattice. Swarm raids into Rose territory continued on the 14th and 15th, being repulsed each time. The Khanate responded to the persistent raids first by seizing territory from the Swarm's lattice, then by launching a full counter-invasion. By the morning of the 16th, the Khanate expanded significantly into the Swarm's lattice.

The Khanate received diplomatic support from [[Brown Pixelstuck]], whose leader [[Caden88]] publicly denounced Swarm aggression. Militarily, Rose forces were bolstered by volunteers from the Flandre discord, and an old comrade of Lana appeared to assist the war effort. [[Eduard]], former leader of the [[Abyss]], returned from a four year absence from Pxls to fight on Lana's side once again.

Rose shamans interpreted Eduard's return as a miraculous event, and a sign from the gods as a blessing of the Khanate's war. Feeling emboldened, Rose placers overextended their advance, occupying more territory than they could feasibly hold. At the same time, the Swarm was amassing the largest army yet seen throughout the course of the conflict. By the evening of the 16th, the Rose advance was routed, and the Swarm began storming Rose territory on several fronts.

The Rose Khanate's territory was reduced roughly to its pre-war borders in the first three hours of the Swarm's renewed invasion. Shortly thereafter, volunteers from Precious Family Pixelers arrived to the front lines on the side of the Swarm. These combined developments prompted Lana to reach out directly to the [[Swarm Council]] to broker a ceasefire. As she met with [[DSeta]], a ceasefire was officially declared around 8:17 PM, though placing in the conflict continued several hours into the night. Negotiations progressed until a border transition, designed by [[Lava]], was agreed upon at midnight.

To join the Void, you originally had to provide proof of your Pxls account and a Reddit account, a requirement that has since been removed. It started as a [[griefing]] group, but after a coup that took place across canvas [[Canvas 2|2]]-[[Canvas 3|3]], it now has a greater focus on creating artwork.

They created a new faction called the Brotherhood of Spurdos and fought back to claim territory across the canvas. One part of this was the roots of the Void's tree where a canvas long battle occurred between Stefff and Zephyr regarding a duck with the head of a Spurdo, commonly referred to as Spurduck. Afterwards, the two made up their differences and the Spurduck became a staple of Void art.

This canvas, however, marked a decline in the Void; afterwards, artworks became sporadic across each canvas.

The Spurdos had a tendency to attack the other more serious factions for fun, and because of this, Cells invaded Spurdo space to remove them. In an attempt to support both its allies, The Void invaded Spurdos, but converting them into Void Spurdos to prevent their erasure. This was the first canvas where the icon of The Void's Discord bot Voidbot was first created on the canvas.

The canvas began with a war against [[Schizo]] over a minor grief incident from the previous canvas. Schizo demanded the removal of all Void elements from their collaboration, and this was initially agreed upon to prevent further damage to the art and to allow a counteroffensive without Ember becoming a target.

The war lasted five days, with nearly 6,000 pixels griefed on Schizo's template. In the end, both sides agreed to drop their demands, and Ember's template was reverted to the Ember Void.

The Void has strong ties with osu!; multiple of Void's staff members were also staff members of osu!, including but not limited to: emanfman, sjatar, LittleEndu, and Pozy. As a result, in the early days The Void became the biggest ally to osu! and they both helped each other immensely in their battles.

=== Voidlord Incident (C2 - C3) ===
After abusing his moderator perms to remove people he did not like from the Void, the group collectively decided to remove him. This started a series of events that eventually lead to his downfall. After getting banned from the Discord, he repeated made thinly veiled alt accounts to get back in, but because of the Void's strict verification system he was denied every time.

After a few months, Voidlord became a [[Pxls staff|moderator]] for Pxls, and so was allowed to return to the Void for strictly diplomatic purposes. It was soon discovered he had created a script that copied every message sent in the Void's Discord into a separate Discord server where other users who had been banned from the Void could see. This led to him getting removed from Pxls staff, and shortly after disappeared from Pxls altogether.

A short war between the Void, its allies, and [[The New Pixel Axis]]. The Axis built over a quarter of the canvas, and as such people were unhappy. To take advantage of this sentiment, the Void advertised itself as the go-to anti-Axis Discord, gaining new members and popular support with osu!, Cosmic Corner, Blue Corner and [[Green Lattice]]. The conflict culminated in a large battle over the Bismarck art on the German flag. During this time, Zephyr was designated head of spy operation and was able to get accounts into every Discord server to spy on enemies and allies. This even included writing scripts to pull hidden API data from Discord to see hidden channels and topics in the server. Notable factions that got access during this time include Pxls staff, German Reich, osu! staff, [[The Cozy Vault|Cozy Vault]], RussianBots, Polish Flag, Cosmic Corner, UK, and Finish flag. In an attempt to counter and distract the Axis powers, the Void created a separate Discord using alts called the Anti-Axis Alliance. The server was as public as possible with Reddit posts and canvas advertising. Axis members were purposely given moderator roles to make it seem like the Axis has the upper hand. In reality, the Void staff were watching these Axis members in the German Reich Discord and purposely chose the most gullible ones. The Anti-Axis then went on to launch several fake attacks while the Void launched real attacks elsewhere on the canvas. The whole conflict ended when the Axis built a large stamp over the Void and its allies, removing any trace of Void in that area.

There existed several Void factions across the various r/place clones, and so they entered in talks with each other. A Discord was made where leaders of the void factions on Pxls, place2, colour this, and more all collaborated. Other than a lot of memes, nothing important became of this and as the interest in place clones faded, so too did this alliance.

With the Chocolate incident, tensions were rising in the Void. There was a clear disconnect between two sides of the faction. One wanted anarchy, with little rules or moderation, while the other wanted a more relaxed and safe faction. These differences culminated after the second and third Void elections where Kaide and then Zephyr were given the mantle of leader. Saber, the original founder was banned from the server, so they created a new Discord to plot a way to take revenge. Anyone who was found conspiring with him was given the boot as well. The [[Rose-Ukraine War]] was a conflict on [[Canvas 94]] between the [[Rose Khanate]] and [[Ukraine Pxls]]. The Rose Khanate did not make a preclaim for Canvas 94 or claim a spot for their art on reset day, [[Lana]] instead deciding to seize someone else's spot after the canvas was already underway. She later decided on Ukraine Pxls as a target, leading to a brief but intense war over their area of the canvas. The war began on October 4, with the initial raid being largely repelled. The Khanate continued raiding on the 5th and 6th. Finally, on the third day of fighting, the raiders made significant enough progress for Ukraine Pxls's leaders to abandon their art. Despite this, volunteers from [[Squirrel Scouts]] continued to fight on the 7th, but were ultimately repelled with the help of volunteers from [[SvN]] and the Pxls chat.

=== Prehistory (Canvas 2) ===

Information on this era is scarce. Though Lana created her Pxls account during Canvas 2, she was not an active placer at this time, nor was she associated with any factions. She made no actions of note before leaving the site.

=== Ancient Era (Canvas 11-15)===

It was on Canvas 11 that Lana joined Pxls as an active placer and a member of the community. Due to joining at the relatively young age of 15, she gained a reputation for immaturity and edginess during this era of her placing career. She became a contributor to the [[Gray Corner]], [[Doki Doki Pxls Club]], and [[AFiP]]. During this time, Lana became friends with [[Fruity]] and [[Kori]]. These users formed two of her closest and oldest friendships, which she maintains to this day. The first war Lana participated in was the [[Anarcho-Transhumanist Invasion]] on Canvas 12, followed by the [[Schopenhauer Campaign]] on Canvas 15.

Lana's first solo artwork was a freelance project called "Project Egg", making several sprites of the Minecraft [https://minecraft.wiki/w/Egg egg] item across the canvas. While the motivation behind this project is unknown, Pxls historians have theorized that it was a subconscious reference to Lana's gender identity at the time. Project Egg continued over the next four canvases. On Canvas 12, Lana made a golden egg in the bottom right corner. On Canvas 13, she began to make more egg variations, such as in the colors of the Italian flag or Anarcho-Transhumanist flag. On Canvas 13b, Lana again made a golden egg in the bottom right corner. Though it was fully destroyed twice in the chaos of the mini-canvas, it survived to the end. Project Egg made its final appearance on Canvas 14. Feeling it was time to move on to new projects, Lana become associated with the [[Abyss]]. Lana's only other notable artwork during this era was a badly fiddled rendition of Monika from [[wikipedia:Doki_Doki_Literature_Club!|''Doki Doki Literature Club!'']].

=== Moderator Era (Canvas 16-21) ===

Lana became the leader of a canvaswide conflict for the first time on Canvas 16, organizing the coalition responsible for the [[Invasion of AFiP]]. Her motivations for betraying her former faction are unknown, though given her propensity for war, it was most likely just for fun. During this conflict, Lana was temporarily canvas banned for the usage of an auto-clicker. Coming back from her ban later in the canvas, she would then be added to the Pxls staff as a moderator on October 4, 2018. Her placing activity declined afterward to focus on moderation duties.

Lana's placing activity on Canvases 17 and 18 was marked by the [[Second 2ch Invasion]]. She became a member of [[PATO]], participating in the resistance against 2ch. Lana was one of the main staff members advocating for the first [[Nuke of 2ch (Canvas 19)|Nuke of 2ch]], to the point that she would take credit for the event after it was enacted. She returned to a focus on freelance work on Canvas 19, making an artistic rendition of a kiwi from [[wikipedia:Jumping_Flash!|''Jumping Flash!'']]. This rendition was commonly referred to as "Berd". She used her moderation powers to add the Berd as an emote to the Pxls discord, which has remained to this day.

January 2019 was around the time that Lana began to question her sexuality and gender identity, internal struggles that would characterize her moderator era. Those struggles came to a head two months later. Lana's behavior grew worse, frequently lashing out at users and making offensive comments, leading to her removal from the staff team. She reacted to this by leaking internal staff information, after which she was banned from the Pxls discord. Her dramatic fall from grace prompted her to address the issues she had been grappling with, taking a sabbatical from Pxls to rethink her life and identity. This was the last canvas on which Lana went by her old username.

Pxls historians regard Lana's promotion to moderator as one of the Pxls admins' greatest mistakes. She was still a highly immature and divisive figure within the Pxls community at this time, and had turned 16 years old only three days prior. Her tenure was plagued with several incidents of mod abuse and unprofessionalism, culminating in its disgraceful end on March 15, 2019. This result is now regarded as an inevitable consequence of giving power to children. Lana's moderation scandals and other incidents like them contributed greatly to the modern day Pxls rule that all staff members must be 18 or older.

=== Reformed Era (Canvas 21a-32)===
Lana made a minor contribution to Canvas 21a by drawing a small self-portrait. This art marked a shift in Lana's self-image, with all future representations of herself being explicitly feminine. The Rose Khanate did not make a preclaim for Canvas 94 or claim a spot for their art on reset day, [[Lana]] instead deciding to seize someone else's spot after the canvas was already underway. She later decided on Ukraine Pxls as a target, leading to a brief but intense war over their area of the canvas. The war began on October 4, with the initial raid being largely repelled. The Khanate continued raiding on the 5th and 6th. Finally, on the third day of fighting, the raiders made significant enough progress for Ukraine Pxls's leaders to abandon their art. It was later spread to the dms of [[Temriel]] and subsequently the [[Chromatic Empire]], which lead to Steven appearing on [[Canvas 63]] after the [[Nutshack Sweep]]. Faction members from [[The Ember Empire]], [[FURU Pxls]], [[Neuro-sama's Swarm]], [[osu!]], conducted a raid on the "King of Snowgrave" artwork (notably, the raid was not publicly supported by osu! or Swarm, despite many of their members helping). The attack was organized by the Ember Empire's leader, [[Selio]], and began on the evening of September 16. Volunteers from [[Flandre]] and the [[Rose Khanate]] came to the defense of the Snowgrave art shortly after. Additionally, [[Firenze]], leader of [[RunePxls]], joined the war by attempting to place a Deltarune art they failed to claim during [[reset]] over the remainder of Snowgrave. RunePxls overlapped an enclave/collaborator faction in Snowgrave called [[Slim Fiddle]].

King of Snowgrave, often shortened to simply "Snowgrave", was designed by [[Distance]] for their faction, [[Edge Gang]]. It was created in collaboration with Slim Fiddle, who are represented by an enclave within the art piece. Critics of the Snowgrave art claim that it is oversized and looks ugly due to excessive [[fiddle abuse]]. These sentiments form the primary motivation for the raid. Pxls culture has long stigmatized fiddled art, which contributed to the raiders' support among the wider Pxls community.

Defenders of the art claim that the fiddle abuse is an intentional artistic choice, and thus the art's unpopularity is unwarranted. Slim Fiddle, which specializes in fiddled art as an aesthetic, is not the first group on Pxls to utilize the concept. [[Lake Fairy Crew]] made a similar art piece only four canvases prior, and the user [[Chalkless]] has also been known to make intentionally [[fiddled]] artwork.

Though somewhat slowed by the defenders, the raiders progressed at a steady pace on the first two days of the war. The raider's attack force was somewhat split as a result of Sohiimfine and several others switching to help RunePxls for the rest of the conflict. As fighting progressed, unaffiliated volunteers joined both sides of the conflict, but mainly the attackers. By the 18th, defense of Snowgrave had largely collapsed. Distance made a new template over Snowgrave's remains, focusing on the Slim Fiddle portion, that conflicted with RunePxls. Rose Khanate placers pulled away from the war to focus on other areas of the canvas, and the other defenders withdrew from the wider Snowgrave art to focus on Slim Fiddle's enclave. RunePxls initially failed to take over Slim Fiddle, whose art was fully completed. Simultaneously, [[The Purple Empire]] began expanding their lattice into abandoned parts of Snowgrave.

The main Ember-led Raid art finished in 4 days. Most of the raiders moved on their own volition to help RunePxls and quickly overpowered the Slim Fiddle defenders. Distance's secondary template was abandoned. Firenze's art finished less than a day after the larger raid art. The '''Dethroning of Snowgrave''' is an ongoing conflict on [[Canvas 93]]. An alliance of four major factions, [[The Ember Empire]], [[Neuro-sama's Swarm]], [[osu!]], and [[FURU Pxls]], conducted a raid on the "King of Snowgrave" artwork. The attack was organized by the Ember Empire's leader, [[Selio]], and began on the evening of September 16. Volunteers from [[Flandre]] and the [[Rose Khanate]] came to the defense of the Snowgrave art shortly after.

King of Snowgrave, often shortened to simply "Snowgrave", was designed by [[Distance]] for their faction, [[Edge Gang]]. It was created in collaboration with [[Slim Fiddle]], who are represented by an enclave within the art piece. Critics of the Snowgrave art claim that it is oversized and looks ugly due to excessive fiddle abuse. These sentiments form the primary motivation for the raid. Pxls culture has long stigmatized fiddled art, which likely contributed to the raiders' support among the wider Pxls community.

Defenders of the art claim that the fiddle abuse is an intentional artistic choice, and thus the art's unpopularity is unwarranted. Slim Fiddle, which specializes in fiddled art as an aesthetic, is not the first group on Pxls to utilize the concept. [[Lake Fairy Crew]] made a similar art piece only four canvases prior, and the user [[Chalkless]] has also been known to make intentionally fiddled artwork.

Though somewhat slowed by the defenders, the raiders progressed at a steady pace on the first two days of the war. As fighting progressed, unaffiliated volunteers joined both sides of the conflict, but mainly the attackers. By the 18th, defense of Snowgrave had largely collapsed. Rose Khanate placers pulled away from the war to focus on other areas of the canvas, and the other defenders withdrew from the wider Snowgrave art to focus on Slim Fiddle's enclave.
